About Qatar
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I’m a long, versatile two-way wing who impacts the game on both ends. I use my length to defend multiple positions, rebound, and disrupt passing lanes. Offensively, I play downhill, finish at the rim, and contribute in transition while continuing to develop my perimeter shooting.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m highly competitive and always looking to improve. I take coaching seriously, push myself in every practice and game, and thrive in team environments where hard work and accountability matter.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I've been actively involved in community service, working with local college fraternity chapters to support neighborhood initiatives. I've also served as a summer camp coach at Gold’s Gym, mentoring younger athletes and helping develop their basketball fundamentals. These highlight my leadership, commitment to giving back, and ability to positively influence others both on and off the court.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through basketball and my community involvement, I’ve developed leadership, teamwork, and mentorship skills. I’ve learned to motivate teammates, adapt to different team systems, and communicate effectively under pressure. Coaching younger players and participating in community service has strengthened my ability to teach, and positively influence others, while maintaining a team-first mindset.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One significant challenge has been traveling from Poughkeepsie to the Bronx for early morning basketball training at Cardinal Hayes. My dad and I wake up at 3:30 a.m. to catch a 4 a.m. Metro North train so I can make practice on time, and I never missed a single practice that entire season. It taught me discipline, commitment, and the value of hard work.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college where I can continue to develop as a player while also pursuing my education. I want to be part of a competitive basketball program that challenges me, has a strong coaching staff, and a team-first culture. At the same time, academics are important to me, so I’m looking for a school where I can grow both on and off the court.
