Samb is a prospect with potential that could have a break out season in the CHSAA. While the Cardinals have a ton of offensive players, the athletic Junior brings versatility and bit of a different skillset that the rest of the rotation. He will adds physicality, toughness, attitude, defense, rebounding and big slams. While his scoring has taken a leap his impact will be more on winning stuffin the stat sheet instead of just points.

Samb got valuable experience last season in the rotation, he brought energy, rebound and guy who could help protect the paint. He’s tough, aggressive, can score in a variety of ways could be a break out candidate this upcoming. This Swiss Army knife should be a great asset for Head Coach Joe Lods, he should play a significant role in the front court and should see his recruitment improve.

Good positional size as a two guard and moves very fluidly. Samb has impressed this year with his ability to knock down shots on all three levels as well as defend multiple positions. Given the bevy of guards on the roster and his length, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Hayes deploy him as a small ball four man at times.

He possesses great length. Very fluid almost looks effortless until he attacks the rim with force. A natural hoop body and skillset. Excellent in transition.

Has great length. Very fluid almost looks like effortless ability. But make no mistake he is a killer on the court. Possesses a high level skill set. Outstanding in transition where you see all the attributes I mentioned above.

Pairing with Taiwo for Riverside’s 15s, Samb wasn’t quite the same consistently dominant force but showed a healthy upside as a prospect in his own right in a performance filled with high-level flashes. He stands out even before tipoff with high-level length and graceful fluidity while clearly still being in the early stages of physical development. Samb went on to show he certainly has some game to go along with his physical tools, showcasing natural ball skills and developing footwork while navigating to the rim off the bounce. He was at his best in the open floor, with a more refined shooting stroke being key towards eventually translating into the halfcourt setting. The lengthy swingman certainly looks ready to step up onto the varsity level this coming year with evident D1 potential down the line.
