The high scorer on the entire day, Brown poured in 25 points to push Hayes into the semifinals. The lanky scoring guard came out on fire from the perimeter, knocking down his first four attempts from beyond the arc all before the middle of the second quarter. He would knock down one more later on, finishing 5-for-9 from 3, while also using his herky-jerky ball skills and slithery athleticism to mix it up and work into the paint. For as much as he’s built a reputation as a shooter and scorer, Brown also applies his length and fluidity as an engaged defender in the backcourt. A young junior who’ll be 16 through the duration of the summer, he offers an intriguing upside at the D1 level with his two-way play.

He turned down a right corner three and attacked the baseline to draw a foul. Later, he knocked down a two dribble baseline jumper and followed it with a left‑corner three in transition. He crashed the offensive boards from the perimeter and connected on two spot‑up threes from the left corner. He added a moving baseline jumper and eventually buried four more right‑corner threes. When he’s set and balanced, his jumper is nearly automatic, and throughout the season he’s proven to be a player you must locate in transition.

Brown is a do-it-all wing who impacts the game in multiple ways on both ends of the floor. He’s a legitimate threat from three-point range and doesn’t need much space to make defenses pay. His athleticism shows up when he attacks closeouts, plays above the rim, and makes plays in transition. As a finisher, he’s strong around the basket and can convert through contact or rise up when the lane opens. Defensively, he brings real two-way value with his activity, length, and ability to guard different types of matchups. He plays with confidence and consistently finds ways to contribute even when his scoring isn’t the main focus.

Brown is long and active defensively, jumping a passing lane for an anticipation steal that led to a dunk, and he stayed fully engaged on that end throughout the game. Offensively, he hit a left wing three in transition, knocked down a right wing three on the move, and added another from the left wing. He also connected on a pick and pop three from the left side. His hustle stood out as he dove on the floor to help create a layup for Nazir Campbell and secured an athletic offensive rebound that he turned into a clean pass to Yancey for a finish. He finished his performance with a late clock catch and shoot three from the wing.

Really good rebounder from the wing . Excellent on both ends of the floor. A real willingness to use his body to defend or score through contact. I have seen him score with either hand off the bounce.

Really good rebounding wing player. Outstanding defender who brings that intensity on both ends of the floor. He can finish through contact with either hand at the rim.

It still comes more in flashes than on a possession-by-possession basis at this stage, but the talent jumps off the page with Brown as he displays his natural scoring ability and defensive upside. For better or worse, he makes things look effortless while slithering to his spots with the ball, even initiating offense in spurts when called for. While still clearly adjusting to a thin and growing frame, he shows increasing consistency as a perimeter shooter with flashes in the pullup game when he’s able to get his feet squarely underneath him. His 4th-quarter spurt was highlighted by a quintet of smooth 3s, connecting on two more for good measure early in overtime to cap what was somehow a relatively quiet 30+ point outing. We’d like to see Brown work on contributing outside of scoring, which he did in this one by way of some impactful plays using his length + twitchiness on D, along with slowly beginning to add some strength to his slender frame. A young rising junior, he should be on D1 radars in years to come with the chance to really take off in a prep or post-grad situation.
