21p 6r 2a 1s 8/10 FT vs Spalding
-Thought that Lee performed well despite the playoff loss, showing the work that he’s put into his jumper as he knocked down shots from all 3 levels and knocked down 8/10 from the charity stripe. He drove middle from the wing to knock down a nice pull-up in the paint, hit the offensive glass to score on putbacks or kick out to teammates, and was active defensively despite having to match up with Spalding’s 3-man rotation of 6’7+ wings. Now that the season is done he’ll have his pick from a nice collection of small colleges to continue playing basketball at the next level.

(Randolph Macon) brings the size and paint presence needed at both ends while a host of younger guards are more than willing to do the dirty work and make the small plays that payoff in big moments. For Lee, he’s the guy who can shift things. When the 6-foot-4 guard’s shot is falling, it makes life for the opposing defense that much tougher. Their main concern is keeping Able at bay and with much of the attention on him whenever he has the ball, it’s usually Clark who opens up along the baseline where he converts with efficiency. Some teams in the league are able to account for both and that’s where Lee steps in as a long-range shooter who can hit demoralizing and timely three’s after playing focused defense for 20+ seconds. This year’s John Carroll team doesn’t live and die as much by the three as in years past, but if Lee is hitting while Able and Clark get their routine averages, this team’s ceiling raises significantly. They’re currently fourth at 17-5 overall.

11p 5r 2a 1s vs Calvert Hall
-Lee bounced back from a slow start in the 1H to make some big plays for the Patriots to close this win out. Lee put up 8p 2a 2r 2s down the stretch including two huge 3s that pushed the JC lead to double digits for good midway through the 3Q. Lee finished 3/5 from beyond the arc, rifled a pass from halfcourt into his big to score at the rim, and turned the on-ball pressure up in the 2H to force some tie-ups.

Lee does a really nice job flourishing within the structure that John Carroll as a guard that can play on or off the ball. He has really good versatility at both ends of the floor, he can guard up in size because of his ability to play through contact. Lee can initiate offense at 6’5″, bully smaller guards, and make outside shots with a high level of consistency. He does a really quality job playing alongside UMBC Signee Aiden Able. They can really put a ton of pressure on the defense with their ability to self-create from all three levels. Lee should continue to stack up big performances all season long for John Carroll. He’s just such a well rounded player that has steadily progressed and should continue doing so throughout the rest of his career.

In order for John Carroll to reach their potential and fulfill their aspirations of being a true contender in the BCL and MIAA A Conference, they’ll need a consistent and efficient scoring option as opposing defenses will gameplan to stop

(UMBC) at all costs. Lee brings great positional size at 6-foot-4 and range with his jumper off the catch that can extend a few feet beyond the arc. He’s shown flashes as a playmaker off the bounce, but will need to put together stretches in order to demand the defense’s respect in that manner. Nevertheless, the Patriots’ up-tempo, three-point happy offensive style suits Lee’s strengths and with Able developing his willingness as a playmaker for others, there should be plenty of games where Lee can leave his mark.

It doesn’t seem to matter the role, setting, or surrounding teammates, Parris always seems to find ways to stand out. Lee is a strong, versatile forward with the size, skill, and motor to consistently impact the game on both ends of the floor. He’s a well-rounded offensive piece who can pass, dribble, and score from all levels. However, Parris also outworked opponents through his rebounding and on-ball defense. Next in his development process he is working on getting quicker, becoming more consistent and more aggressive offensive end of the floor. As it would make him even more difficult for opponents to contain off the bounce. Displays a good understanding of making the right play. Needs to work on his shot consistency.” Parris will prove to be an asset for the John Carroll team in the always tough Baltimore Catholic League. Good student that carries a 3.7GPA.

-Continue to come away impressed by Lee as he played well on a day that JC was missing a few of their guards. Lee was rotating well defensively in their amoeba defense to come up with deflections and guard several positions as a dynamic roving defender. The perimeter jumper is much more consistent as the shot prep and follow-through have become routine, with Lee lacing both of his three point attempts on the day. I really also liked that he’s finding opportunities to put pressure on the rim in the halfcourt and is making good reads off the bounce. Lee came away with 10p 3r 1s 2/2 3P in the win. One of the more dynamic G/W tweeners that should have D2s all over him.

-Love Lee’s utility as a guard with good size that can slide up or down a position depending on lineups to give his team some versatility on the defensive end of the floor. He’s got the strength and frame to guard 1-3 will being switchable on the perimeter as a rangy combo guard. His digs down to the post and double teams on the perimeter are effective without getting him into foul trouble because of how he traces the ball with his hands. Want to see him communicate loud and often as a senior leader that will really depend on his voice to direct traffic whether he is on the back line or communicating ball screens above the break.

-Really liked the grit and defensive versatility of Lee over the summer as he has really proven that he could be the BCL player most likely to break out this season with the Patriots. Parris is a capable slasher that has added better footwork in the paint to give him better finishing angles around the rim. Love how quickly he switches ends of the floor, wasting no time after grabbing a defensive rebound or collecting a steal to race it the other way in transition. Lee’s athleticism and size allow him to guard 1-3 pretty comfortably, and he can usually provided some stellar post defense on 4s and 5s if switches force the action. The motor really stands out as an asset for the rising senior, excited to see how he develops over his last HS season

-Absolutely loved his defensive activity in this one as an athletic wing prospect that flies to the ball regardless of where he is on the floor. Lee jumped passing lanes, timed his stunts at the ball to force and collect steals, and rotated very well to block 2 shots off the backboard. Lee excelled at outletting to a point guard and running his lane to keep his defender wide and away from the bnllhandler. Want to see him ramp up his drives to the basket as well as his off-ball cutting to take advantage of his explosive athleticism.
