White is an extremely good athlete and is a very talented player on both sides of the ball. Defensively, his whole game is very impressive. White moves very well on the perimeter, and his length and good hands help him generate steals. White also does a great job protecting the rim, and his athleticism and timing allow him to go up and get some impressive blocks.

-A sleeper that our staff is high on, White served as a versatile prospect on the JV team this season for John Carroll. White played 1-4 at times throughout the season for the Patriots, showing his versatility at both ends of the floor as a prospect with good positional size that plays with an aggression that belies his age. White gets to his spots in the halfcourt, is an unselfish passer off the bounce, and improved his scoring touch over the course of the season. White traveled with varsity over the course of last summer and sat on the bench for games, with some key pieces heading to college next season– he seems primed for a big role next season in Essex.

-Pretty bullish on the long-term upside with White as a rapidly-growing wing prospect that has a nice skillbase. White can create off the bounce effectively and uses his size to find teammates in transition or bully his way to the rim/earn FT opportunities. His activity defensively enables his teammates to take more chances going for steals because he is usually is in great help position. With his combination of size, his intrinsic values/motor, and the current skillbase– it’s easy to be high on him long-term with both a nice ceiling and floor as a prospect. I interviewed him on my Prospect Spotlight series, which can be found here.

8p 4r 2a 1s vs Calvert Hall (JV)
-This one is a long term bet as a young prospect that hasn’t even scratched the season of his potential. With some serious size in his family, White has a nice skill base as a 2/3 tweener that can do a little bit of everything for his team. He hit a floater in the paint, showed nice touch on an alley layup finish off the BLOB, and has a nice bag of high and low dribble-pickups to navigate in traffic. Improving the ball-handling ability will cut down on TOs both as a passer off the live dribble and as a young guard that sometimes dribbles into a crowd. Really high on his long-term upside as a prospect.
