Eckels was a steady threat around the rim, more comfortable either posting up or reacting to guards for quick rolls. Once catching the ball down low, he is quick to put it up, eager to draw contact against out of control contests. Bringing a strong frame to compete down low on either end, he is among the more efficient finishers around the basket within the state. As he’s continued to develop post footwork versus contact, Eckels is set for an especially productive season at Discovery Canyon.

After Eckels was able to calm down and play his game, we we’re able to see his full potential. In the paint is a force to be reckon with whether it was changing countless shots at the rim or grabbing every rebound that came his way. Throughout the day we were able to see him excel in the pick and roll game making it easier for guards to attack.

Eckles was a player that was dominating in the paint on the offensive end and was using his strength to back players down to finish over them with ease. With his height he was a mismatch nightmare for teams as he was able to assert his dominance throughout the day. On the defensive end he was altering shots in the paint and was able to crash the boards and limit second chance points. Was able to show his ability to play above the rim with some nice dunks throughout the day.
