Expert Analysis

Green had a monster Senior season and led the state in scoring. He is comfortable firing from deep or getting to the rim and Max is likely to play a lot at Holy Cross next season.

Green has been putting up video game numbers game in and game out as a senior and continued the tear he’s been on with another 40+ point scoring game on Thursday. Hitting some of the most unreal shots you’ll see a high school player make, there are few better shooters in the country. Green has the range to shoot from 30 feet and constantly moves without the ball, making it tough to stick to him and prevent him from getting his shots off. Green also does a great job jumping forward on these deeper shots, keeping the same form up top and relying on his legs. As the primary creator for his team, Green also threw a couple no look passes that were dimes to his teammates. A solid vertical athlete as well, Green almost threw down a crazy alley-oop dunk and also got a steal that led to a breakaway dunk. I couldn’t get a great feel for the defensive upside of Green considering the zone trapping system Oldham County uses, but even without this evaluation tool, Green looks like an absolute steal for Holy Cross. I expect Green to have a chance to start as a freshman in the Patriot League.

Green is currently the second leading scorer in the state and is top 50 in the state in three point shooting. Signed to Holy Cross, Max has made big strides in his game over the years and will be even better when he gets to a college weight room and adds more bulk to his frame.

Recently committed to Holy Cross, Max has been a breakout player over the last few seasons for Oldham County. A pure scorer who is also an above average passer, Green is likely the best player in the always talented 8th region.

Max is no longer one of the biggest sleepers in the state as he’s earned 5 D1 offers since April. A sniper from range, Green is a microwave scorer who can put up 7-9 points in a hurry when he’s feeling it. Green has to be one of the most skilled players in the class. He’s an excellent passer at 6’6.

Max can heat up in a hurry and did just that on Saturday as he hit consecutive three pointers in both of the Grand Park wins. An excellent cutter, Green showed his ability to move through space and get open.

Northern Kentucky and Robert Morris both offered Max recently and his stock is definitely trending up. After playing with 2 different teams in the spring AAU season, Green has returned to Grand Park Premier and should get a lot more opportunities than he had in April. Look for the 6’6 combo guard to take advantage with a big July.
