Green is scoring the ball at an insanely high rate right now. Oldham County has become the Max Green Max Green 6’6″ | CG Oldham County | 2024 State KY show and it’s working for them. Leading the state at 32 points per game, Max has led Oldham to a 14-5 record and in the mix to win the always competitive 8th region.
Similarly to Green and Oldham County, everything at Madison Southern runs through Rose. Thus far, it’s paying major dividends. Jay leads the Eagles in nearly every statistical category, averaging 24 points and 8 rebounds per game with shooting splits of 61/45/78. At this point, Rose should be the front runner for 11th region player of the year.

Starks has only been eligible for 6 games after waiting a year from his transfer out of Bowling Green High. It’s clear Elijah has been anxiously waiting his opportunity. In those 6 games, Starks is averaging 20 points and 9 rebounds while shooting 60% from the field and getting to the free throw line a very impressive 7 times per game.
Going back to the 8th region, Neal has stepped up in a big way to get his Mustangs squad back atop the regional standings at an impressive 16-2 record. Averaging 21 and 5, Neal would be in the 50-40-90 club if he were shooting better from the free throw line. As it stands, he’ll have to settle for the 57-42-77 club.

Most of the people reading this have probably never heard of Villa Madonna or Henry Thole Henry Thole 6’8″ | PF Villa Madonna Academy | 2024 State KY and that’s ok. I wanted to give him a mention not only for a big Senior season, but because he just had an extremely rare 30-30 game. On the 18th, Thole had 31 points and 31 rebounds to lead his squad to a win and the fact that Villa is even 7-10 on the season is testament to how good Henry is.

Grant County is another school that is right in the mix for the 8th region title this season and a large part of that is due to the exceptional play of Breeden in his final season for the Braves. Averaging 26 points and 6 rebounds, Spencer has put up some monster stat lines this season and Grant County is dangerous in the postseason thanks to his ability to get hot and fill up the box score in a hurry.
