Sliding up 30 spots in the last update, Grant moves from 57th to 27th after a huge Senior season where he would have been 8th region player of the year in most seasons. Neal should sign at the scholarship level sometime this Spring.

Going back to the 8th region, Neal has stepped up in a big way to get his Mustangs squad back atop the regional standings at an impressive 16-2 record. Averaging 21 and 5, Neal would be in the 50-40-90 club if he were shooting better from the free throw line. As it stands, he’ll have to settle for the 57-42-77 club.

Neal is still riding the momentum of a really good Junior season and is now having a breakout start to his AAU season also. Grant is going to be my pick for the best Senior guard in the region next year. Considering his strong academics and basketball prowess, high academic schools should be all over him.

Neal had a big season for a North Oldham team that was among the tops in the state all season long. Grant should see the opportunity to play with the ball in his hands more than he has in the past and has shown he’s a tough slasher in addition to being a big time shooter.
