Most of the people reading this have probably never heard of Villa Madonna or Henry Thole Henry Thole Henry Thole 6'8" | PF Villa Madonna | 2024 State KY and that’s ok. I wanted to give him a mention not only for a big Senior season, but because he just had an extremely rare 30-30 game. On the 18th, Thole had 31 points and 31 rebounds to lead his squad to a win and the fact that Villa is even 7-10 on the season is testament to how good Henry is.

Thole plays for one of the smallest schools in the state so he’s been overlooked up to this point in his career. He’s already scored 1,000 points in his career and is averaging 19 points and 14 rebounds per game in a Senior season where he’s double teamed and denied the ball more often than not.

Thole didn’t get many shots to fall but I came away impressed with his potential. He has a unique skillset of great athleticism and size which makes him a hard to guard. More than capable driver from the perimeter and is really good when he can get to his left hand. He was much quicker than his defender and likely will be the whole season. His jumper looks good as he looks to have 3pt range. If he can put it all together he could be a big time threat. Exciting to watch.

Perhaps the biggest breakout star of the event, Henry plays for one of the smallest schools in Kentucky and would fit in playing with any of the biggest. The Villa Madonna product is big at 6’8 and versatile. He’s confident in his shooting and can make plays at his size. Comfortable with the ball in his hands on the wing or posting up on the block, Thole definitely raised some eyebrows with his play on Saturday.
