Quinn Thomas
Quinn Thomas
Thomas had a strong opening night displaying his versatility. He is a strong, aggressive driver that can go either direction. He uses his strength to get defenders on his hip to get to the rim and finish thru contact. He was at his best when he was downhill attacking and getting to the paint.
Elijah Bodkin
Elijah Bodkin
I thought Bodkin was much more aggressive in this game than when I have seen him in the past. He showed off his big time athleticism in transition and his much improved jump shot. He proved to be a 3 level scorer as he scored in just about every way possible and was the most consistent scoring option for them. I look for him to have a big season.
It’s always fun watching Williams play as the game seems to come easy to him. Plays at a very smooth pace and is extremely shifty to get to the paint. Has great size for the guard position and didn’t have any issues scoring against size at the rim. Was at his best when he was aggressive.
Ian Mann
Ian Mann
Mann is the heartbeat to NCC. He’s an ultra aggressive, strong guard that was in attack mode all night. He did a really good job using his size and quickness to get to the rim and finish thru contact. He shot it well when he was in rhythm. Big time competitor.
Caleb Eaglin
Caleb Eaglin
I really like Eaglin’s game. He is a pick and pop forward with really good size. Capable 3pt shooter off the catch but is a real threat when he puts the ball on the floor on drives as he is a matchup nightmare for his position. Loved him as a trail man as they can play through him to get them into offense or to get a quick basket. Super versatile on both ends of the floor.
Brady Boruske
Brady Boruske
Boruske played well and you could tell he has a high IQ for the game. Played with great pace bringing the ball up the floor and getting the team into offense. Was fearless on drives with a few shots around the rim showcasing his good touch. Was also impressed with his ability to guard on the ball. He disrupted ball handlers and made it hard on the offense. Young player with a ton of potential.
Ben Doyle
Ben Doyle
Doyle was aggressive and affected the game in a lot of ways. He’s a strong right hand driver that looks to initiate contact at the rim. Good looking shot as he has 3pt range. Capable taking ball handling pressure off of Boruske as he can get the team into offense and can play thru him. I see him becoming a leader for the Mustangs. Sets the tone for them.
Thole didn’t get many shots to fall but I came away impressed with his potential. He has a unique skillset of great athleticism and size which makes him a hard to guard. More than capable driver from the perimeter and is really good when he can get to his left hand. He was much quicker than his defender and likely will be the whole season. His jumper looks good as he looks to have 3pt range. If he can put it all together he could be a big time threat. Exciting to watch.
