Harris has the most intriguing combo of size and skill of any post player in these two classes. He’s still pretty wiry but he’s been playing strong in traffic and showing the fight to rebound and finish around bodies. He also doesn’t shy away from any contact and already has high-level determination to finish plays. His ability to handle the ball and create off the dribble is what really sets him apart, and as he starts to fill out that frame, he could turn into one of the top players in the state in the coming years.

Harris really showed out at the showcase and let people know why he is such a tantalizing prospect. At 6-foot-9, he finished above the rim, showed good strength to battle through swipes and grabs inside, and demonstrated good footwork around multiple defenders. He had a few moments where he was able to grab a defensive board and push, and had enough handle on the perimeter to protect the ball and evade some pressure. Also showed off defensive ability away from the rim, staying with guards on the perimeter and even picking their pockets a few times. Just a very skilled forward already showing his high potential and growth heading into his sophomore year.

Another standout freshman from Rainier Beach, Harris has the lengthy frame that really sets him apart from his peers at 6-foot-9, but he’s also shown some promising skills that suggest a bright future. His work rate on the glass has been great; he uses those long arms, attacks the ball, and has been aggressive with his touches in close. He’s also displayed some coordination and ball skills in transition, with the ability to take the ball on a breakaway and run the floor as a pretty mobile and athletic big man.

Harris maximizes every minute on the court, making a significant impact with his presence. He effectively uses his length to defend the paint, protecting the rim with sharp awareness and quick reactions. His attentiveness allows him to read the ball off the rim accurately, ensuring he tracks and secures rebounds efficiently. Always alert and ready, he capitalizes on opportunities to contribute defensively and offensively.

Harris is one of the taller incoming freshmen we have seen already. He’s fairly athletic, gets up and down the floor well, rebounds at a high rate on both ends, and has some good instincts as a shot blocker. He’ll be a big man to track in the 2029 class with some big upside.
