In many ways, Ben Davis feels like the dark horse in Class 4A and a lot of that has to do with their size, athletic ability, skill, coaching, and much more. They are also an experienced group of players with one of their leaders in the front court being senior power forward

. A highly-touted small college prospect, Harvey makes such an impact in the post for the Giants due his skill and overall power on the low block. Brownsburg will have their work cut out for them vs a guy like Harvey.

Harvey is one of the best unsigned senior big men left on the board in Indiana and is being highly sought after by small college programs. The 6’8″ center is bouncy at the rim and has some big games this season for 10-3 Ben Davis. Somehow we have not seen the Giants yet this season, but that will change soon. He averages 8.0 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.

Harvey showed some flashes offensively on Sunday evening at the Metro Indy Fall League that really turned heads. Known as an explosive finisher out of the dunker’s spot, Harvey had a couple of tough reverse finishes and low post baskets that showed some upside to his game down low. When you pair his ever-improving offensive skill set with is ability to rebound the ball and protect the rim you get a very intriguing prospect.

Small college programs have been all over this 6’8″ center from Ben Davis High School for several months now. Harvey is long, bouncy, and will immediately provide defense and rebounding on the interior. He is capable of playing above the rim at both ends of the floor and that was consistently apparent at “The Expo” as he was one of the best among a very talented group of big men in attendance. He should have a solid senior year for Ben Davis.

of Ben Davis, and he continues to impress me with his motor and athleticism. He plays hard on both ends of the floor and is a difference maker with his size and length. He’s a fluid athlete that runs the floor that is looking to finish above the rim any chance he can. Not a strength at this point but has shown the potential for the future to drive close outs. Also was comfortable taking spot up threes, but for now he’s more of a garbage basket big offensively. Defensively he’s a switchable defender that can guard all over the court. He moves his feet well and uses his size to his advantage when guarding on the perimeter. With his athleticism he’s an active rim protector that does a good job staying vertical.

Long and lanky forward rim running big man that block shots and finishes above the rim. Offensive his skill is improving every time I see him. Defensively he impacts the game in multiple ways being able to switch out as well as be a rim protector and rebounder. Holds offers from Wabash and IU-Columbus.

As advertised in the camp preview, Harvey didn’t try to do anything with his game out of the ordinary. He is a long and athletic rim running big that plays with a lot of energy on both ends on the floor. Showed in multiple occasions and jump hook over his right shoulder. He rebounded at a high level and finished with authority any chance he got.
