Dynamic left handed guard that scores it from all over the floor. Shifty handles get him to his spot where he can rise up in the midrange or get all the way to the rim where he has good footwork and the ability to score in a variety of different ways over length. Good three point shooter with a quick release and deep range. Comfortable off the catch and dribble, Landon is ultra aggressive on the offensive end to score. Defensively he’s a scrappy defender with quick hands and good timing creating steals. Long wingspan and aggressive mentality help him cover passing lanes.

- Sharpshooter. Extremely natural on the wing.
- Long frame on the wing. Allows him to score over smaller wing defenders.
- Just a really good feel on the perimeter. Makes tough shots both off the catch and on the ball.

We already knew that Reed was one of the better pure shooters in Indiana’s rising junior class. Therefore, him hitting four three-point shots in Indiana Elite Team Tradition 17u’s impressive Wednesday morning victory shouldn’t have been all that surprising. However, it was the type of shots that he hit that really made this performance stand out. The 6’3” lefty makes tough shots in tight windows. He shot faked and got fouled early going 3-3 at the free throw line. Then, he knocked down a corner three of a flare. He also ghosted a ballscreen into a pop for a three at the top of the key. Finally he made a catch-and-shoot look on the right wing. Very impressive shooting performance.

The 6’3 Floyd Central shooting guard was one of the two 2027s that stood out on the Sunday portion of the Indiana State Elite Camp this weekend. Reed gained valuable experience at the varsity level from day one which helped him have a strong AAU season for Indiana Elite Team Tradition . He continued the momentum he had this summer here in Terre Haute showcasing his versatility on floor as a shooter and a player that cuts extremely well off the ball. Reed has a lot interesting tools to work with and is an under-the-radar guard to watch in the 2027 class.

Reed stepped in from day one at the varsity level for Floyd Central and averaged 9.6 points per game. The versatile 6’2″ guard shoots it well from beyond the arc, but is at his best as a slasher and driver. His fluid athleticism with the ball allows him to make multiple moves to get into the paint and then his length lets him finish out around bigger defenders. He had a great summer with Indiana Elite Team Tradition that culminated in an Adidas Gold championship out in South Carolina. Reed is one that could break into our Prep Hoops Indiana Rankings as we continue to expand the Class of 2027.
