Another very impressive freshman prospect at the Metro Indy Fall League, Wilkins stood out with his passing ability and consistent defensive effort. The 5’11” guard didn’t get sped up while playing against bigger, older guys and was a steady playmaker for his team. Then, on the other end of the floor, he was always in good position and proved to be a pesky on-ball defender. Wilkins, a Floyd Central High School prospect was able to beat closeouts off of the dribble and hit a couple of mid-range jump shots as well to flash some of his scoring ability.

Wilkins was an impressive guard from down in southern Indiana at Floyd Central High School. The 5’11” shot-maker looked most comfortable when playing off of the ball where he could space the floor as a three-point shooter or catch and dribble into a quick pull-up. However, Wilkins also spent some time on the ball as a playmaker. His ability to fill either guard spot makes him even more valuable in the backcourt. Wilkins consistency of putting the ball in the basket at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase led to him earning top performer honors.

It didn’t take long to recognize Wilkins as one of the better shot-makers in attendance at Sunday’s Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. The 5’11” guard from Floyd Central High School has a quick first step and gets good elevation on his pull-up jump shots. During 5-on-5 play he had several strong drives to the basket, went coast-to-coast for a layup, and knocked down a handful of jumpers. Wilkins can flat out score the basketball.

Wyatt was one of the best defenders that I seen during the showcase. During both 5 on 5 and 3 on 3 Wyatt guarded the other teams best player on multiple possessions and did not shy away from it getting multiple stops. Wyatt is extremely quick off the bounce, and had multiple tough/creative finishes around the rim. Wyatt has the ability to impact the floor on both ends for Floyd Central.
