The former Bishop Gorman shooting guard has made his commitment to the College of Marin. He is very versatile due to his size and ability to defend. Over the course of the high school season he guarded a number of highly ranked opponents, including AJ Dybantsa. Carmona is a high flyer as well, and can slam home impressive dunks. Look for him to make some waves with the Mariners.

Bishop Gorman drew up a play for him to receive an alley-oop to open the 3rd quarter and he threw it down with authority. From there Carmona was on a roll, and rattled of a few more inside buckets for the Gaels. On defense, he didn’t give his opponents much room to operate.

Carmona can get up and has the ability to throw down some impressive dunks. He also sets himself up well for opportunities by timing his cuts. In addition to his high flying skills, he also plays some quality defense.

Carmona has a lot to gain this week. Expect for the Gorman senior to receive perhaps the most significant playing time of his career. His got some offensive skill, so don’t be surprised to see him get hot. He also possess good explosion, so don’t be surprised to see him perform the spectacular above the rim.

Playing a hunch on this one. Carmona plays for a program that will be involved in a ton of big games. He has good offensive skills, and the moxie to perform when called on. Be on the lookout for him breaking out by providing valuable clutch minutes for the Gaels.

Carmona enters the rankings for the first time thanks to some consistent play. I Saw him a couple of times throughout the summer. He played well enough at a Prephoops event, and when I saw him again during the a Labor Day Torunament, he impressed.
