Throughout the weekend, Khalid Ousmane found ways to impact the game on both ends of the floor with his relentless activity, elite length and athleticism, and his tremendous motor. Ousmane was seen crashing the offensive glass and generating extra possessions, altering and blocking shot attempts at the rim with good timing, and was extremely active as a help side defender and shot blocker.

Khalid Ousmane Khalid Ousmane 6'7" | PF The Patrick School | 2025 State NJ ‘s weekend saw him showcase his improving offense skillset while also displaying the things he already does at a high level. An improving perimeter player, Ousmane showcased his ability to not only knock down the outside shot but also put the ball on the floor and either attack closeouts and get to the rim or push the break in the open floor. Possessing elite length in combination with a tremendously high motor, Ousmane was extremely active on the offensive and defensive glass for Epic Elite.

Ousmane had a hard time breaking through at times amid a loaded Patrick School frontcourt, but has used the early portion of the spring to reassert himself as a potential D1 prospect in the frontcourt. The jumping-jack forward has previously drawn attention with his slashing and ability to thrive as a finisher near the rim, but suiting back up with Epic Elite, has impressed with an expanded perimeter game. His ability to keep defenses honest as a respectable standstill shooting threat from beyond the arc should pay dividends for Ousmane’s ability to find a consistent role at the next-level within a halfcourt setting. With many D1’s having turned their attention to older prospects in the transfer portal, Ousmane could wind up looking like a steal if he slips to the right D2 or JUCO program.

A key returner, Khalid Ousmane Khalid Ousmane 6'7" | PF The Patrick School | 2025 State NJ brings an interesting blend of size, versatility, and athleticism to Epic Elite’s frontcourt. Possessing good size and elite length, Ousmane brings not only rebounding ability and rim protection on the defensive end but also also defensive versatility— an ability to not only defend in the low post but also an ability to switch out onto guards and guard out on the perimeter. Offensively, Ousmane excels as a vertical lob threat in PnR while also being effective as a finisher out the dunker spot. As the season goes along, look for Ousmane to showcase more of his perimeter offensive skillset— specifically his ability to shoot it from three point range.

Ousmane is an athletic hybrid post who showed frequently that he is a threat to space the floor. If his feet are set from deep there’s a high percentage he is converting on his shot. He is a switchable defender who can guard a multitude of positions. Ousmane is a threat to play out of the two man game and is an effective screen & roller while having great chemistry with his guards. He would be a great late add at the scholarship level where he could see early time due to his 2-way versatility.

Ousmane is a hybrid post who runs the floor like a gazelle. He has the ability to pop off the page on both ends of the floor with his athleticism. He can use his speed to get to different spots downhill. He uses his length to congest shots and corrupt passing lanes. Ousmane shows some flashes as a stretch four. He would be a great pickup at the JC level.

Operating primarily out of the dunker spot, Ousmane showcased his ability to catch dump offs and get on the rim. Ousmane was also active on the offensive glass. On the defensive end, Ousmane also shined not only as a rebounder but as a rim protector as well, using his long arms to block and alter shots at the rim.

A super athletic big that plays with a relentless motor, Khalid Ousmane Khalid Ousmane 6'7" | PF The Patrick School | 2025 State NJ is a raw but improving two way big that’s expected to be a big time contributor for the The Patrick School this year. On the defensive end, Ousmane uses his athleticism to excel as a rim protector, help side defender, and a tenacious rebounder. Offensively, Ousmane excels in pick and roll situations as a play finisher, not only as a vertical lob threat but also a finisher around the rim. Ousmane’s offensive skillset can also expand to the perimeter as he’s shown an improving ability to knock down the open three, whether that be in pick and pop situations or catching the ball off ball reversals.

With a strong senior season that will showcase his elite athleticism in combination with his improving skillset, Ousmane could see his stock continue to rise throughout the course of his senior year.
