Kamta is one of the top post prospects in the class and should put his game on display this winter. The 6’8 post runs the floor hard, setting himself up for easy baskets in transition. Kamta skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and swats a ton of shots around the rim. He knows how to get position down low and has a nice touch around the rim. Kamta’s ability to control the paint is something that will help his stock throughout the course of the season.

Kamta is a space-eating, old-school post player who does his best work around the blocks. He understands how to establish position inside and consistently generates high-percentage scoring opportunities, converting them with efficiency throughout the game. Kamta was also effective on the offensive glass, capitalizing on second-chance points and using his timing and instincts to be in the right place at the right time. His physical presence and interior scoring make him a reliable option in the paint on both ends of the floor. As he continues to develop, improving his ball-handling will add another dimension to his game and allow him to be more effective when facing pressure away from the basket.
