Dixon should have the ball in his hands more, which will help his stock throughout the course of the season. The 6’1 guard uses his handle to get to his spot on the floor and has a good touch in the mid-range. Dixon rises up nicely on his jumper and shoots the ball with confidence from behind the arc. He works hard on the defensive end and moves well without the ball in his hands. Dixon is a crafty guard prospect who should run the offense effectively during the course of the season.

Coming out narrowly on the losing end of a gritty in-state matchup with the NJ Beasts , Dixon put together as impressive an individual performance as we saw all day. A dynamic playmaker off the dribble, he was impossible to keep out of the paint whether in transition or the halfcourt, using his slick handle and effective change-of-pace ability to routinely leave defenders in the dust. While not a high-flyer, Dixon used his strength and dexterity to finish consistently in the paint among traffic while also showing impressive instincts crashing down for a handful of boards on both ends of the floor. Most importantly, things look to be slowing down for him as a decisionmaker, allowing him to better leverage the defensive attention that he attracts into more efficient looks for himself and his teammates. He continues to trend toward D1 status and should be a hot name across the Hoop Group circuit over the next several weeks.

His quick first step allows him to blow by defenders and create scoring opportunities in the paint, where he excels as a finisher. He also does a great job establishing position on the interior, using his instincts and effort to come up with rebounds on both ends of the floor. Opposing teams struggle to keep him out of the paint. I want to see him become a more consistent threat from behind the arc.
