has emerged as one of the state’s fastest rising prospects entering the spring, showing the traits of a highly impactful interior presence on both ends of the floor. With soft touch around the basket and steadily improving footwork, Malok is legitimately blossoming into a dependable scoring option near the rim— consistently capitalizes on second chance opportunities, finishing lobs with excellent timing, catches dump off passes cleanly from penetrating guards, and operating efficiently as a roller in pick-and-roll situations. All while showing stronger and stronger flashes of his developing back to the basket ability on the low block paired with some flashes of his floor spacing ability. Defensively, Malok used his physical tools to anchor the paint as an intimidating rim protector and a strong rebounder who controls his area effectively.

Malok impressed with his expanded offensive game. He is a threat to play inside and out and made plays from the dunker spot and stretched the floor as a shooter. He runs the floor effortlessly in transition. Like how Malok had an efficient shot selection and didn’t look to just jack shots. He has good timing and always seems to be in good spots to make things happen. He makes everything look easy when he is out on the floor. He has received several division one offers over the last several weeks and should see a lot more traction in the coming week as the live period begins.

has shown a lot of early signs of an extremely impactful interior paint presence, on both ends of the floor at that too. Demonstrating solid touch paired with rapidly improving footwork around the basket, Malok has established himself, for the most part, as a reliable target around the rim— converting on second chance opportunities on the offensive glass, displaying strong timing on lob finishes and soft hands on dump off passes from guards attacking the lane, an efficient roller in PnR action, and flashes of his back to the basket game on the low block. All while leveraging his physical tools to be an intimidating rim protector and strong area rebounder on the defensive end of the floor.
With his recruitment beginning to pick up a little bit of a steam, the 6’10” big has recently received offers from UMass Lowell, LaSalle and Alcorn State with a plethora of programs expected to show interest in his budding two way skillset.

Malok, a big man out of the St. Thomas More School in Connecticut, checks in at #6 among the centers and #44 overall in this update. The 6’11” big is still just scratching the surface of his potential, but recently picked up a Division I offer from UMass-Lowell. He’s incredibly long, and lean, and while he’ll need to continue to add weight and strength, one of his strengths is that he’s an agile and fluid mover. He covers ground quickly in the open floor, plays with a good motor on the offensive glass, and offers a huge catch radius as a roller out of screens. He continues to develop as a finisher around the rim and even shows some potential as a passer out of double teams. Defensively, he is a high level rim protector that blocks and alters shot after shot on that end of the floor. Malok will play his travel ball with the GB Blue Devils.

Malok, an athletic big man out of the St. Thomas More School in Connecticut, has been a standout this spring with his combination of athleticism, length, and versatility. Offensively, he has a budding skillset and the ability to score in multiple ways and at multiple levels. He has long strides, covers ground quickly, and shows quick athletic burst as a finisher around the rim, that can also knock down shots from behind the arc. Defensively, he has a high ceiling with his ability to move laterally, protect the rim, and rebound in space. He should only continue to get better as he adds strength and continues to diversify his game.

Malok, a wiry athlete out of St. Thomas More School, has continued to play at a high level this spring while playing for the New York Lightning on the EYBL Circuit. His length is one of the first things you notice when he steps on the floor and he does a nice job of combining that with great agility and fluid movement. He has some floor spacing ability, runs the floor really well, and does a nice job of protecting the rim, showing the ability to quickly cover ground. He’s a scholarship level prospect that has the physical gifts needed to eventually play at the highest level of college basketball.

is a tall and athletically built center with lots of upside. Defensively, he’s got great footwork when guarding on the perimeter and can stay in front of smaller players like guards better than most at his position. Malok’s long arms make him hard to score against, as he can swat the ball into the stands and create havoc. On offense, he is effective as the roll man and can slam the ball home for easy points. Malok uses the glass well when given the ball in the post and does the simple stuff with precision and patience. If a jumper develops in the future, he becomes a seriously intriguing prospect that programs will fight over more than he already is at this point right now.
