Summer Live: Which prospects moved the needle?

Francis and Team Iverson may have fallen short but he was a huge reason why his team got to the Final Four plus was arguably the MVP of regular season. He's a physical guard who plays with pace, can score through contact and loves to get downhill. His on ball defense has improved this offseason, he has a great motor, a tremendous feel for the game and always puts a premium on winning. There's a reason all the scouting services have him as a top 100 recruit and next update don't be surprise to see him make another jump.      Mauro has been a major impact player and leader for NYC Honor this offseason. He's a nightmare to cover, deadly in the mid range, he's elusive, really quick and a very underrated athlete. His shooting was consistent all summer, he's good from three, makes others around him better and is tough as nails. The recruitment should pick up this fall as more Division 1 programs get their eyes on him. The value, skillset, mindset are all there plus he just wants to win.       Zichterman had been very productive all spring and summer but saved his best play for the Championship bracket. He had so many huge moments for his squad including late buckets, big steals, clutch threes and late game free throws. This midwest lefty is fearless, athletic quick and threw down the best dunk of the weekend. His effort in the final four and final were massive and he was an easy choice for MVP. While his recruitment had mostly D2 involves he picked up a new offer from Manhattan after being crowned Made Hoops Champion.      Malok has the most upside on this list and really put together a terrific live period. He's highly skilled, has nice touch around the rim, dominates the boards and has effective hands. His footwork looks sharp, he passes well out of the post, he has worked on his range and is more connected defensively. There's still some room for development but he's got a great attitude, works, he's reliable and a good teammate. Lot to like here.     New Heights MHC went on a huge playoff run that got them all the way to the final four. When they were up three in a crucial spot, they fouled a three point shooter, he made all three free throws and all hope looked lost. Hopkins sprinted to the corner, got the ball and hit the game winning triple to advance his team to the next round. This Swiss army knife is a weapon on the court, he can impact the game with his effort, scoring and defense. He's somehow still on the board and could help a Division 1 program immediately.     Armstrong was a strong factor in WMP's championship run. He was a perfect compliment to Zichterman, he can create his own shot, score inside or knock down threes. The energy and stability from him was exaxtly what his team needed and they even fed off Armstrong at times. His communication was great, he gets 50/50 balls, can defend multiple positions and will do whatever he can to help his team win. Expect his recruitment to pick over the next few months and whoever lands Armstrong will get a serious competitor.
