There were a ton of really good contributors for Covington Catholic all week, but Kascyl McGillis Kascyl McGillis 6'2" | SG Covington Catholic | 2023 State KY takes the cake as the one who stood out the most. While his name may seem smooth, his shooting stroke was far smoother. Kascyl absolutely lit up Olympia in the first half of their eventual quarterfinal loss. At 6-2 and a stockier build, McGillis was able to muscle down the lane if needed before inevitably kicking the ball out to one of Covington’s other shooters (maybe his freshman brother Athens). McGillis was the go-to second option for one of the tournament’s most impressive teams, and his production will be vital for Covington as they continue this season.
