made quite the splash in the NCISAA 4A ranks with Carmel Christian School this season as a new addition. He’s a stock-rising name to know heading into the final recruiting cycle. He showed he could operate on the wing this season in shooting 52/143 (36 percent) from deep on the year with Carmel Christian School as he surpassed the 1,000-point plateau. He had a number of 30+ point performances this season as he put up 39 points on 15/17 shooting against Cox Mill High and 32 points on 13/21 shooting including the game-winning bucket against Cannon School this season. Overall, he put together five games of 30 points or more and 20 points or more in 20 games this season for the Cougars as they made it to this year’s NCISAA 4A Quarterfinals before falling to Providence Day. He’s a prospect with offers from UNC-Asheville, Chattanooga, Radford, Chicago State and UNC-Greensboro as he wraps up his high school career.

Taylor continues his ascent up the 2024 rankings as he moves from No. 61 to No. 15 in the final rankings update. He proved himself as a primary threat in the Carmel Christian rotation while averaging 24.2 PPG, 7.5 RPG, 2.0 APG, 1.2 SPG and 1.0 BPG. He’s a versatile wing/forward presence at 6-foot-7 who’s shown he’s capable of operating in a variety of ways with his length, athleticism and skill set. Division I programs in the region would be wise to get eyes on him.

Taylor continues to show why he’s one of the top unsigned seniors in the state, dropping 35 including the game winner in Carmel’s takedown of Cannon School on Saturday. He’s really added a dimension to his game this year as a scorer, able to knock down more shots on the move and from deep range while continuing to put pressure on the rim as a slasher. This has him averaging 26 PPG and showing why LM and MM programs should reach out ASAP to try and get him to sign.

Taylor had a monster game at the Carmel MLK Invitational on his home floor, dropping 39 points and 8 rebounds to beat Cox Mill. He also had 21 points and 10 rebounds against Pine Lake earlier in the week. He’s very good at attacking the basket with his power and athleticism, throwing down monster dunks in traffic and transition. However, his biggest improvement is his three point shooting, as he’s been able to attack from the perimeter now which gives his game an added dimension to it. One of the top unsigned seniors left in the state.

Taylor was an explosive slasher as he always has been in his team’s games this weekend at the Carmel Tip Off, posting 22 and 29 point games as they went 1-1. He’s incredibly athletic and a nightmare when he gets straight line drives, but is starting to show more touch and precision as a shooter. He knocked down some mid-range shots and showed off better shot quality and selection than previously seen. He’s got offers from UNCG, Radford, Chicago State, and UT Chattanooga, but expect many more LM and MM offers to come rolling in as the season continues along.

Last Season Stats – 17.5 PPG, 9.5 RPG, 58% FG
Taylor is a thin springy wing that should end up at the Division 1 level with his athleticism and ability to put pressure on the basket in all situations. Leaper who can play above the rim off the bounce or from a teammate’s pass. Gets out and runs in transition to punish defenses slow to get back. Cleans up the glass on both ends, staying active to ignite the break or provide second chances for his team. Should have another big year with him being the focal point in the Olympic offense.
