Taylor continues his ascent up the 2024 rankings as he moves from No. 61 to No. 15 in the final rankings update. He proved himself as a primary threat in the Carmel Christian rotation while averaging 24.2 PPG, 7.5 RPG, 2.0 APG, 1.2 SPG and 1.0 BPG. He’s a versatile wing/forward presence at 6-foot-7 who’s shown he’s capable of operating in a variety of ways with his length, athleticism and skill set. Division I programs in the region would be wise to get eyes on him.
Goods is another 2024 prospect in the state of North Carolina who’s continued to climb up the PH radar as he moves from No. 47 to No. 27 in the final rankings update. He’s gotten back to his usual ways with his presence in the Grimsley High frontcourt this season after a Sweet 16 finish in the NCHSAA State Playoffs. He put up 21.1 PPG, 13.6 RPG, 4.0 BPG, 2.1 APG and 1.4 SPG while shooting 60 percent from the field. He’s a sizeable forward at 6-foot-8 who’s shown he can hold his own on both ends of the floor in the painted area. He’s another name for D1 programs in the region to get eyes on.
Highlights
Mabor is another big man in the 2024 rankings who’s saved his best for last heading into the end of his prep career with Gaston Christian School. He’s a 6-foot-11 prospect who really improved in the painted area as he moves from No. 99 to No. 44 in the final rankings update. He put up 17.3 PPG, 10.2 RPG and 2.3 BPG while recording 21 double-doubles across 35 games in 2023-24, ranking fourth overall in the state of North Carolina. He’s shown he can extend the floor as well as a perimeter threat with his length. He’s emerged as another DI big man for programs in the region to get eyes on heading into the spring.
Edmonds is having himself a busy final season with West Stokes High as they enter the Elite Eight in the NCHSAA 2A State Playoffs on Friday. He moves from No. 66 to No. 47 in the final rankings update before heading off to Converse University, where he should make an instant impact. He’s a big guard at 6-foot-5 who’s hard to guard and difficult to stop, as evidenced by his career-high 47 points this season against conference-foe Reidsville High. They’ll look to knock off the Rams on the road on Friday in the Elite Eight.
Rowe is another one of the biggest movers in the final rankings update, moving from No. 101 to No. 50. He hit another gear in his final season with Trinity Christian School, producing 15.1 PPG, 6.8 RPG, 2.7 APG and 1.1 SPG as a versatile wing/forward presence. He’s started to draw the interest of DI and DII programs as he enters the spring as a top unsigned senior candidate to get to know. He shot 57 percent from the floor and 43 percent from 3-point range as he continues to show his growth as a name to know in the 2024 class.
Stanback is an emerging forward name to get to know as he heads to Appalachian State in the Sun Belt Conference. He moves from No. 191 to No. 53 in the final rankings update in the state. He’s a 6-foot-6 forward with a ton of athleticism in his wheelhouse that he utilized to lift Asheboro High deep into this year’s NCHSAA State Playoffs. Despite suffering an injury in the postseason, he’ll be a worthy name to know once he’s healthy as a pipeline prospect into Mountaineers’ rotation.
Leon Tye Cain III Leon Tye Cain III 5’10” | PG Green Level | 2024 State NC is another deserving name on the PH stage who’s seen his stock rise since turning heads this past summer at the PH Top 250 Expo as a college prospect. He moves from No. 206 into the 57th spot in the final rankings update in North Carolina as Green Level continues their push to a NCHSAA 4A State Title. He’s putting up 9.6 PPG, 3.4 APG, 3.4 RPG and 2.2 SPG as quite the two-way presence in their backcourt as the Gators continue a historic season.
