He moves from No. 99 into the Top 45 prospects in the final rankings update at No. 44 as he looks for a home at the next level. He’s easily a prospect for Division I programs in the region to get eyes on given his size at 6-foot-11 and production in the painted area on both ends of the floor. He’s developed nicely  as an inside-out presence who can stay out of foul trouble in his senior as he averaged 17.3 PPG, 10.2 PPG, 2.3 BPG and 1.8 APG on 55 percent shooting from the floor and 31 percent shooting from deep. He’s mobile and shown he can guard out on the perimeter when needed as well. All in all, he’s an available prospect to know in the state of North Carolina this recruiting cycle.

Mabor is another big man in the 2024 rankings who’s saved his best for last heading into the end of his prep career with Gaston Christian School. He’s a 6-foot-11 prospect who really improved in the painted area as he moves from No. 99 to No. 44 in the final rankings update. He put up 17.3 PPG, 10.2 RPG and 2.3 BPG while recording 21 double-doubles across 35 games in 2023-24, ranking fourth overall in the state of North Carolina. He’s shown he can extend the floor as well as a perimeter threat with his length. He’s emerged as another DI big man for programs in the region to get eyes on heading into the spring.

Mabor is a sizeable big man still on the board in NC’s 2024 class and ranked inside the Top 100. He’s really improved his production around the painted area and become a double-double staple in the Gaston Christian School rotation this season. He’s averaging 17.7 PPG, 11.0 RPG, 2.4 BPG and 2.3 APG while posting 16 double-doubles in their 22 games. They’re 5-1 in Metrolina Conference action as they look to be a contender in the NCISAA 3A State Playoffs down the road. Mabor remains a name for DII programs to keep an eye on with potential to bloom as a potential DI prospect over the next few months as he develops as a two-way presence.

Mabor brought his usual intensity and length to the game last night, reinforcing why is a bonafide D1 prospect. He altered shots, cleaned the glass with ease, and even showed a perimeter game that could be expanded on. He’s getting better as a finisher around the rim, even though he can just overpower people and play pinball if he really wanted to all night long. He could be a project for a HM team to look at, but LM and MM schools could land a stud immediately.

Big man Gabby Mabor Gabby Mabor 6'11" | C Gaston Christian | 2024 State NC is coming into his own in the Gaston Christian frontcourt with his size/skills around the painted area. He’s putting up 15.8 PPG, 9.8 RPG and 1.8 BPG as he continues to show off his growth on both ends of the floor. DI and DII programs would be wise to get eyes on him as the Eagles kick off their season.

A third Team CP3 big makes this list, but this time it’s a 2024. Mabor had to play big minutes all weekend as CP3 had only 6 players, but it did not take away from his production. He is a big, physical, frame that can dominate the paint but also can step out and hit a jump shot. Against BSA Supreme on Saturday Afternoon, Mabor had a strong performance finishing with a 13 Point 10 Rebound Double-Double.

The 6-foot-11 big man showed flashes of his brilliance on the interior and around the rim this season as the Eagles went 23-10 and 12-2 in the NCISAA Metrolina Conference. He averaged 12.7 ppg, 10.2 rpg and 2.8 bpg as a two-way presence on the interior that’s starting to find his way in the post. He’s a name for DI and DII programs in the region to get to know this grassroots cycle.
