He continues to make impressive strides in his overall game and will look to to have a big-time junior season campaign. Understanding how to get to his spots, making the right reads and keeping his turnovers low were all things we saw from him. We were impressed with his scoring ability and how efficient he was from all three levels.

Another mover into the 2028 rankings who should fare well in the Winston-Salem Christian rotation as they play a national schedule; versatile and dynamic at 6-foot-3 with the capabilities of knocking down shots, facilitating offense and defending at a high level; due for a breakout year in the 2028 class

Leading off my list of Peach Jam Friday Standouts is TJ Holmes. I am a big fan of his long-term potential, especially if he can develop physically. Holmes is a lefty with good length and instincts for the ball, but his calling card will be shot-making. After missing his first attempt from three, TJ got going with a right-elbow pull-up, before knocking down a spot-up right-corner three and a tough step-back three. Holmes has a solid handle and can get to the free-throw line at times. He finished with 12 points on 2-5 3FG in the overtime win.

Holmes is a versatile name to get to know in the 2028 rankings out of Carmel Christian. He’s shown he can operate at a few different positions as a facilitator, scorer and presence on the interior. He got his feet wet on the NCISAA stage a bit with five games of action on the varsity stage, but he’s still one to keep an eye on given his competition on the grassroots scene and beyond.
