Expert Analysis
Clayton Conover | Prep Hoops Scout
Cook is a physical asset to Broomfield, bringing a low center of gravity to impact the glass and move around opponents. At his best in the paint, he brings an undersized role, despite bringing the motor and soft touch to be a consistent offensive asset. Additionally a dependable screen setter for Broomfield’s array of perimeter shotmakers, his strength balances out the perimeter centric play of the majority of this roster. His abilities as a playmaker out of double teams was encouraging, given that he is such an overpowering matchup while getting downhill.

Cook is a player that can battle in the paint and should be able to get going in the low post. Will look for him to try and control the pace on the defensive end locking down the post. He will be able to crash the boards and will limit some second chance points. He has the ability to finish through contact and can knock down his jumper as well.

Cook was probably the guy who stood out the most as he was dominate in both games for his team. He was a force in the post all night on both ends of the court. He was hustling on defense all night, making it difficult on opposing bigs as he was altering shots, getting charges and sending shots away. He was on the boards heavy in both games and when it came to his offense he was scoring in the post with ease. He looked smooth with his post game and really controlled the low post. Will be one of the top guys to keep an eye on for day two.
