Connor had one of the most productive month’s of any prospect in America with all factors considered. He started the month off with a really strong performance at NBPA Top 100 Camp where he was one of the most consistent performers at his position in the camp. He then followed it up with really strong performances at both NCISAA live period events as he picked up offers from Illinois, Wake Forest, Houston, and others. The mismatch forward’s physicality and motor give teams a great baseline idea of what Connor can bring to the table in their lineup. This year will be interesting to see how exactly Connor expands his game, I think we’ll see him really put a ton of focus and effort on improving his consistency as a shooter which would make him a truly complete offensive weapon.

Connor is clearly in a special stage of his basketball evolution and it appears to be fueled by pure confidence and self-belief. It’s always great to see a good player realize how good he is and that has been the Jayon Connor Jayon Connor 6'7" | PF/SF Forsyth Country Day | 2027 State #141 Nation NC experience this spring/summer as he got off to a great start with Team CP3 , had a high quality showing at NBPA Top 100, and he’s now carrying it into the June Live Period’s with Forsyth Country Day. In a loss vs Concord Academy, Connor finished with 20 Points, 5 Rebounds, 1 Assist, and 1 Steal on 9-18 from the floor, 1-4 from deep, and 1-2 from the line. Connor’s physical presence, motor, and ability to exploit mismatches was on full display. As he continues to show more confidence in his perimeter game, it will only keep the defense more honest and open the floor up for him even further. Connor’s offer list is growing and I don’t see that stopping anytime soon with three more live periods to go this summer.

Connor was a late addition to the camp and flat out made the most of his opportunity to compete on such a prestigious stage. When your calling card is your motor, you’re going to shine in these settings and that is exactly what Connor did as he helped his team to a 4-0 showing at camp. In those four games, Connor averaged 10.8 Points, 4.5 Rebounds, 1.8 Assists, and 1.8 Steals per game on 62/33/67 shooting splits. In the opening game on day three, Connor was absolute brilliant in 20 Points, 4 Rebounds, and 4 Steals going 8-11 from the floor in the process. Connor’s nature as a no frills, high energy producer is very apparent and that will bode well for him heading into July as I expect his recruitment to really pick up.

A player who is taking advantage of a post grad year to reclassify into the 2027 class from the 2026 class, Connor has been a huge part of Team CP3’s success this spring. Connor is scoring just under 15 points per game and grabbing the fourth most rebounds per game on the circuit at nine a contest. Mid major programs are quickly taking note of Connor as he holds recent offers from Ohio, Ball State, UNC Greensboro and more.

Moving to another Forsyth Country Day and Team CP3 EYBL 17u guy in Jayon Connor Jayon Connor 6'7" | PF/SF Forsyth Country Day | 2027 State #141 Nation NC , he has been supremely effective for this team as a physical forward who can finish on the interior and do a lot of dirty work at both ends of the floor. In what was a 7-1 stretch for Team CP3 in May, Connor averaged 16.5 Points, 9.3 Rebounds, 1.1 Assists, 1.5 Steals, and 1.8 Blocks per game while shooting 56% from the floor and 56% from the line. Connor is constantly playing with a ton of physicality, making him difficult to deal with for the opposition at both ends of the floor. He’s not much of a perimeter shooter but that hasn’t deterred him yet as he’s just able to get where he wants on the floor and finish with efficiency. He gets to the line a ton and shot it way better from there than he did in the first session. Look for Connor to continue establishing himself as a bonafide division one talent on this stacked roster.

Connor is a super gifted and physical forward providing this Team CP3 17u EYBL group with a productive and versatile option in their front-court. For session one, Connor averaged 9.7 Points, 8.3 Rebounds, 1.0 Assists, 1.3 Steals, and 1.0 Blocks per game while shooting 64% from the floor. Connor attacks mismatches in the front-court and finishes around the rim with efficiency, he’s mobile enough to guard perimeter players and strong/athletic enough to hold his own when bigs have a size advantage on him. Connor really struggled from the free throw line, going 1/8 in three games but that is something he can hopefully fix moving forward so he can be his true impactful and aggressive self. Look for Connor to try and improve that touch to take his status to the next level, even right now there’s no doubt he’s a supremely impactful player that produces consistently.

A strong wing forward prospect who played hard, rebounded and was active in the paint, Connor averaged over nine points and eight rebounds per game this weekend. Not afraid to be physical and throw his body around in the paint, there were a few rebounds Connor secured that were simply because he wanted it more than the opposition. Add in the action that Connor came up with some loose balls and scored at the rim and he made himself useful for his team. If Connor can develop a perimeter shot he could see his recruitment spike from his current offer list of Presbyterian and Coastal Carolina.

Connor has really emerged in NC’s 2027 class as a dynamic physical presence in the Forsyth Country Day front-court. Connor and his team are hosting Charlotte Latin tonight at 6:30 for a berth in the State Championship game. Connor has the ability to attack with his back to the basket or facing up, making him a true mismatch in the front-court. Connor is a strong kid, he embraces contact and has the edge over his matchup in that department far more often than not. Connor is a consistent presence on both backboards and possesses the foundational skill level to be a threat as a jump-shooter and make great plays for his teammates when doubled. Connor’s decision to reclassify to 2027 and transfer to Forsyth Country Day has paid major dividends as he will find himself ranked highly when 2027 drops soon. Connor is a classic high floor forward to monitor closely into the spring/summer, adding some hardware at Forsyth Country Day this week will be a great launching pad for that.

Connor continues to establish himself as one of the more productive frontcourt pieces in the Triad. He posted 20 points and 13 rebounds this week, showing his ability to score through contact and control the glass. Strong-bodied with soft hands, Connor thrives as a rim runner and offensive rebounder while showing flashes of touch in the mid-post.

Connor is a mismatch forward that brings a ton of energy and physicality over the course of a game. Forsyth Country Day is 24-2 and have a great blend of returners with new pieces and Connor is the shiny new car in the driveway. He’s consistently flirting with 20 point double doubles, is a real problem to deal with physically, and is able to help this talented group of players execute their offense with efficiency. He’s constantly a threat on both backboards, he possesses the strength and athleticism to guard bigger guys along with the agility and instincts to guard smaller ones. He’s very efficient scoring the ball inside the arc and is someone you can run your offense through if needed with his ability to pass out of double teams. Forsyth Country Day is at this point in time, the clear favorite for the NCISAA 4A Championship with Connor as one of the main reasons why.
