Williams can do just about anything you ask out of him at the point guard position. He can score as good as anyone in this class. Williams can use his tight and shifty handles to get to any spot on the court. He will look to create space will those handles for his shots. Williams can get to the rim whenever he wants and has a soft touch around the rim. His decision-making is impressive as he seemingly always makes the correct pass when he’s in control. He does a great job of setting up his teammates for open shots drawing double teams and using pick-n-rolls or pick-n-pops.

Williams uses his speed and great instincts to lockup players on the perimeter. He moves laterally almost as quick as he runs straight making it difficult for ball handlers to get around him. Williams can be sneaky on inbounds passes as he likes to go behind the player that will receive the ball only to jump the lane and steal the ball to score an easy layup before the other team even reacts. His contests will usually alter other shots causing for bad misses.

Williams is a very efficient shooter from downtown and has a quick release that needs little room to let it fly. He is automatic on catch-and-shoot situations and can hit defenders with a pump fake to get them in the air. Williams can hit pull-up threes in the transition game with full confidence. He also has some nice handles that allow him to break defenders down and hit tough step-back shots.

Williams has a smooth-sailing jump shot that needs very little space to get it off over defenders. He likes the corner-three ball being one of his more consistent shots. Williams has shifty handles allowing him to get anywhere he wants to on the court. He moves laterally well and stays strong in front of his man at all times. His ability to poke the ball free from ball handlers if they try to break him down is excellent.
