Ihekwaba is a strong physical presence at the center position as he likes to seek contact when in the painted area making smaller defenders look silly against him. Once he makes his mind up to put his back against the basket it’s almost an automatic basket for him as he just overpowers defenders and goes straight up for the two-handed slam. On the defensive end, he is a force to be reckoned with. His timing and instincts to block shots are something offensive players think twice about before looking to challenge him.

Ihekwaba is a force in the painted area standing at a tall 6’10”. His strong upper body allows him to get physical and push defenders around to go up for easy dunks. He runs the floor like a guard and even has a nice hop-step move he uses when looking to score on the fastbreak. Ihekwaba is a great shot blocker that can turn those blocks into easy transition points. If he develops a consistent post-hook shot he will be nearly unguardable.

Ihekwaba is an intimidating defensive player who can guard every position. He will look to block every shot in his way when it comes to shot-blocking. He has excellent timing on his blocks in the paint and on the perimeter when guarding perimeter players. Ihekwaba is very athletic and can get some impressive chase-down blocks in a transition sequence giving him the ultimate flexibility on the defensive end.
