Being able to knock down shots from deep consistently can open up many opportunities for the team if everyone can shoot. We have players on this list that do just that and more when it comes to being a sharpshooter. Here is part III of the top sharpshooters for the 2024 class.
Hodge is your modern-day stretch four that every team would love to have. He can shoot it from deep, take you off the dribble, and hit some tough step-back shots. Hodge has a smooth all-in-one motion shot and can shoot over anyone because he is 6’8″ and has a high release point. Running pick-n-pops with Hodge can be a mismatch nightmare for teams as he steps back behind the arc to shoot the three.
Williams is a very efficient shooter from downtown and has a quick release that needs little room to let it fly. He is automatic on catch-and-shoot situations and can hit defenders with a pump fake to get them in the air. Williams can hit pull-up threes in the transition game with full confidence. He also has some nice handles that allow him to break defenders down and hit tough step-back shots.
Highlights
Seeloch can make just about any shot he sets his mind to. He has a fast release that allows him to shoot over most taller defenders. Seeloch has impressive footwork when looking to make something happen off the dribble. He can hit tough fading-away shots or look to use his side-step move. Seeloch will look to play fast and downhill and will not hesitate to pull up for a transition three.
O’Reilly gets his shots up quickly whenever he’s looking to score the basketball. He has unlimited range and should be guarded tightly throughout the whole game. O’Reilly’s favorite shot seems to be the corners and he will rarely miss if left open. He looks for catch-and-shoot opportunities and is always moving to come off of off-ball screens for open shots. His high release point makes it difficult to get a good contest in time.
Noble shoots with extreme confidence and can hit any shot you set in front of him. Standing at 6’2″ in the point guard position he can shoot over smaller point guards easily. Noble likes to come off of off-ball screens so he can get his catch-and-shoot shots. His crafty handles allow him to get more space on the step-back shots from deep. Noble is also great at faking out defenders without the ball when running around to get open.
