Murdock is certainly a riser as we’ve gotten more eyes on him this summer. The first thing that stands out for him is his versatility. He does a bit of everything, and his team calls for him to do it. He puts the ball on the floor, shoots the 3 ball, runs the offense at times and takes care of the ball, gets on the post or works the perimeter, but he does things with intention. Murdock had a solid sophomore year, and while he is in a bit of a different role this year, he’s still able to be impactful and get himself going. He’s always in attack mode, and what we saw from him this summer as well as at our showcase, he’s a player who knows he belongs. He easily makes the jump in the rankings, looking for more.

might be the most productive player in the class based off of stats last season that people aren’t talking about. He averaged an impressive 23.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.7 steals per game, carrying his team on both ends. Murdock scores at all three levels, rebounds over bigger defenders, and pushes the break. This summer, he’s been adjusting to playing with other scorers and while it has altered his game a bit, he has still looked productive. When he and his teammates click, Regis Groff will be dangerous.
