Duvalier Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
Javaree is a tweener for Regis Groff, but allows them to be multi-dimensional. He’s their forward who also puts the ball on the floor, rebounds, and battles down low, and he was doing that all weekend. He has a motor, he’s athletic and not shy on the floor, and when it all clicks for him, he’s going to be a very good player. I like how he finds spots in the defense on the baseline and finishes, and how he cleans up boards and goes right up with the ball. He had some big moments for Regis Groff and boosted his stock after the weekend.

Paris is a major piece of the three headed monster that makes Regis Groff so dangerous and powered their 20-0 run. He scored in double figures in all but one game, bringing consistent production every night. Coming off a dominant 20 point, 14 rebound performance, he’s proving he can take over when needed. Paris is a relentless slasher and cutter who flies high above the rim, but he’s also a confident shooter who makes defenses pay for any mistake. His versatility and motor make him a matchup nightmare heading into the City League Tournament

Regis Groff is 7-0 on the year and has been blowing each team they come across out. They have elite guard play, solid defenders, and they can score with the best of them. The prospect on the team that has showcased that the most is Javaree. In the first two seasons, Javaree has had arguably the best stats in the class. This season, he’s putting up 17.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.8 steals a game. He’s an inside force with great footwork, attacks the glass, and goes right up. He’s an athletic tweener who has been one of the most efficient players in the entire state. We want to see him at showcases, playing AAU, and at camps. We want him to continue proving himself as we feel he’s a game-changer who allows that Regis Groff team to be so dynamic. He rises in the rankings.

Paris may only be a sophomore, but he’s already playing like one of the top forces in City League. After averaging 9.1 points and 7.6 rebounds as a freshman on varsity, he’s stepped into this season with the confidence of someone who knows he belongs. His touch and instincts around the rim make him a constant interior threat, and his strength, athleticism and timing allow him to control the glass on both ends. Paris doesn’t just rebound but he changes possessions on both ends of the court. With his rapid growth, physical presence and impact in the paint, he’s quickly becoming a matchup nightmare and a rising star at Regis Groff

Paris had one of the stronger freshman campaigns in the class statistically and yet still appears to be under the radar. He will now have to adjust to a new role. That shouldn’t be an issue as he’s a physical and athletic forward who rebounds well and finishes inside. What I like about him is that he brings energy and toughness to every possession. He’s learning to impact the game off the ball with slashing and cutting, and that will only help with Regis Groff’s style of play. Paris’ motor and feel make him a reliable contributor who consistently affects winning plays, and he makes the jump onto the rankings

might be one of the most intriguing risers in the class. He’s a rugged athlete who plays with a chip on his shoulder and a nonstop motor. Paris had a strong freshman campaign, putting up 9.1 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. These are eye-opening numbers for a first-year varsity player. He consistently played bigger than his size, attacking the glass, defending multiple positions, and doing the dirty work that doesn’t always show up in highlight reels. His offensive game is still evolving, but his confidence is never in question. Paris embraces physicality and brings energy to every possession. With help on the way to Regis Groff’s roster this year, expect the game to come even easier for him, opening up more opportunities to showcase his skill. His effort and toughness alone keep him on the floor, but if his touch and decision-making continue to improve, he’s going to be a key piece on a team looking to make real noise.

Paris continues to provide dependable rim pressure for Regis Groff, complemented by a constant motor to get after the boards on second chance opportunities. Bringing a wiry frame to battle with opponents within that 6A level, his heart and motor make him a must follow from the effort alone.
