Alegbe finally looks like a player ready to step into a much bigger role this season, which is big because this is his Senior year. We’ve seen him multiple times this summer with Regis Groff and Prolific Elite, and there have been plenty of stretches where he looked capable of anchoring the pain,t and that is exactly what Regis Groff will need. He’s strong, protects the rim, rebounds his area, and has enough mobility to switch and defend different matchups. We came away asking the same question we had last season: why wasn’t he playing more? Now the opportunity is there. If he brings a consistent motor every night, he has everything needed to become a different maker for a team with legitimate 5A title aspirations. He’s earned his way into the rankings, and I expect him to justify that this winter.
