An energy big, Walsh came off the bench and provided a big spark in the second half where Walsh had multiple putback layups, created extra possessions with offensive rebounds and bringing physicality to his team. Nice to see a forward come in off the bench, compete and be the difference for his team in a tight game. Walsh is a small college target who can play a similar role at the next level.

Another prep school new name to know, Walsh is currently injured so I didn’t get to see him on Sunday at Ohio Prep Conference action. In practice I saw Walsh as a big who could rim run, rebound and has the size that small college programs are looking for. A high academic prospect as well, that should open the door for college programs to recruit him at a variety of levels and locations. Most college programs are still looking for size in the 2025 class and Walsh fits the bill.

A high academic prospect, Walsh has all the skills to be an impactful small college big. With his size, athleticism and production I saw, he checks some key boxes. The lefty finished well at the rim with a couple dunks and a sweet reverse layup. I’ll be curious to see exactly where Walsh’s recruitment ends up and want to see him again in a game.
