Expert Analysis
Ari Rosenfeld | Prep Hoops Scout
Leading the way from the backcourt for The Patrick School, Anderson put up a valiant effort with 17 points in his final high school game. Playing a Swiss-army role as a utility guard, he got going with opportunistic buckets near the rim as a cutter or getting out in transition. Anderson would go on to show a much cleaner and more confident perimeter stroke, previously a major question mark in his game, knocking down a pair of smooth pullup 3s in the second half. Having played more of a ball-dominant role in previous settings, it was also nice to see Anderson be able to adapt his game into a more condensed role while still remaining effective. He’s available as a clear scholarship-level guard prospect who could certainly hold his own at the D1 level.

settled into a nice rhythm offensively early, knocking down a number of open looks as a spot up shooter against Jackson Reed’s (MD) 2-3 zone, highlighting his compact shooting mechanics from three point range. Anderson also shined as a facilitator— attacking the gaps of the defense to get in paint, drawing multiple help defenders and making sharp and on time passes to either cutting teammates, vertical lob threats, and even open shooters out on the perimeter.

Honarable mention. Lights out shooter from deep. A strong base handles the ball well protecting it. Hard to knock off of ball. Gets into the lane and finishes in traffic.

(Pictured) A strong physical tough guard who uses his body really well in all aspects of the game. Physical defender. Creates space for himself to drain the three which he does at a high rate. Not afraid of contact and scoring in the lane. Shoots it really well off the catch with no wasted motion.

is even more of a deadly shooter going into this school year. Because Anderson is a threat from outside it was always imperative for his inside game to improve. And at the City is Mine tournament, Anderson showed how difficult he will be to guard because of the additions to his game. With the ball in his hands, Anderson doesn’t waste dribbles and uses his body to assist in getting by defenders. And when in the paint, Anderson showed the footwork and quickness to play off two-feet, while getting to his shot. Anderson is a Junior guard you need to have on your watchlist.

I’ve seen Dior play for awhile now this was the best I’ve seen of him. Which is scary because he was always good. He was under control very smooth with his handle. He was able to get to the rim using his body to create contact. He was able to get his shot off the bounce or catch with nice rotation and good release point with lift.
