Daveion’s efficiency and activity on the glass was key for Hopkins in their win over Minnetonka. In a very low-scoring game by Hopkins’ standards, Daveion’s 13 points on 6-8 shooting were key, as he made the most of every chance he got. He was flying up the floor in transition, cutting hard off the ball, and stepped outside to hit a three. Hart had the highlight of the game as well when he came flying in for an alley-oop dunk. Hopkins played a lot of the game without either of their bigs, so Daveion stepped up on the glass, pulling in 12 rebounds and really limiting any second chance opportunities for Minnetonka. Utilized his length on the defensive end with 2 blocks and 2 steals.

The 2025 six-foot-four-inch Hart plays a bit taller than he is biggest of his length that enables him to gather loose balls and snag steals as he had 3 in this contest. Hart is most dangerous in transition as he runs well in the open floor.

Daveion got his senior season off to a strong start on Wednesday, putting up 22 points in a win over Totino-Grace. The athletic wing was flying up and down the floor in transition, throwing down a pair of dunks and a few acrobatic lay-ups. In the half-court he showed a smooth stroke from beyond the arc as he went 3-5 from three point range. Does a nice job of covering on the glass when his team goes with a smaller line-up, and also got up in passing lanes for three steals.

Davie had a great showing on Friday and has proven himself as a nice scoring option on a team full of great shot creators. He does most of his damage playing off the ball, being able to shoot from deep off of the catch or to make one move to get to the basket for a finish. His length and athleticism also allows him to force turnovers and to make plays at the rim in transition offensively. Hart provides so much for this team on both ends of the floor.
