– The six-foot-six-inch 2026 Wayzata wing has had two strong summers playing with MN Select, and at the MBCA Lam looked a prospect on the rise and ready to really show out. Lam’s jump shot from the outside has gotten more consistent, and he attacks the basket well. Lam does very well in the technical aspects of play, and takes advantage of scoring at the rim.

With a lot of attention going to the pair of high major commits starting for Wayzata, I think Brady is going to shoot an impressive percentage from three this year. He’s a high level shooter at 6’6, and against Edina he was able to repeatedly find pockets of space for kick-out passes before putting three points on the board. Even with all of the talent Wayzata has, they all share the ball, and Brady was always ready to make a quick decision on whether to shoot, pass, or attack whenever it came his way.

Brady Lam started to emerge as a key player for Minnesota Select over the past couple of months, and that trend continued in Select’s win over Starks Elite on Sunday. The 6’6 stretch-four came out firing, knocking down three straight 3’s in the opening minutes of play to get his team’s offense rolling. When Brady caught in space, there was no hesitation to let it fly, as he and his team all have confidence in his shooting ability. Defenders were left chasing him all game long as he was cutting/running off of screens looking for pockets of space to catch and shoot.

Brady seems like he’s a prospect that is wildy undersold because he doesn’t have anything differently about him nor does he possess elite physical traits.
While the MBCA most likely wasn’t a long haul for him to travel to, he treated it as a life-deciding, path-paving business trip. He had zero interest in making a wasted step or any wasted movements with the ball. If he scored or made a shot, he was in instant search of his defensive matchup, while also making sure the hoop was adequately defended. It takes a whole lot for a high school basketball player to send a spark of motivation to my ventral tegmental area (VTA), and I think I felt it with Lam’s intense focus and reflex on the court.

WHY?
He runs with MN Select Ohnstad. Brady helped the team go 5-1 and finished 2nd Place at the Finals. Lam did a bit of everything to help the team, he is a well-rounded baller. Brady brought the juice and energy. He put up serious points off the bench and played tough/physical defense all weekend.
