Bode is a player we got to see a few times throughout the years, and one thing that always stood out to me was his ability to keep everyone involved, keep the ball moving, and to stay out of the way when teammates get going. Bode is a player who gets downhill, finds the hot hand, and is a true connector as a floor general. Bode had a solid junior season and duplicated that in his Senior year, but with more freedom offensively. He averaged 8.3 points and 3.5 assists a game, found his groove, and played some of his best ball this year. Solid season for him.

Coming up with 3.4 APG in his senior year, Nesbitt is a proven facilitator, more than capable of leading any offense he’s a part of. Being a crucial reason why the Lobos are 14-9 this year, Nesbitt is surrounded by players who prioritize winning at all costs.

Nestbitt was one of the more pleasant surprises we saw this weekend. He impacts the game based on what’s needed. If it’s playmaking one game, he provides that; if it’s a person that needs to go down and bang with the bigs, he rebounds with them. Sometimes the game will ask for scoring, and I am confident in his ability to provide. He had himself a huge performance when he pulled off a 10-assist game against Smoky Hill, which highlighted his feel and decision-making. In the next game, his work on the glass versus Eaglecrest showed versatility. He’s comfortable adapting roles and doesn’t force it. That flexibility makes him Rocky’s swing piece and a true X-factor moving forward.

Nesbitt has continued to impress with his steady play and natural point guard instincts. All summer long he showcased his ability to control the tempo and make the game easier for everyone around him. His handles are tight, his vision is sharp and he consistently finds teammates in positions to score. Off the bounce he’s tough to stay in front of with a quick first step that allows him to create separation and open up scoring opportunities for himself and others. He’s a confident and reliable shooter from all areas of the floor, showing consistency and poise under pressure. Nesbitt’s blend of leadership, skill and efficiency at the guard spot makes him a legitimate riser and a player deserving of the recognition in the latest rankings

Nesbitt is a player who sets the tone as a true floor general with vision, creativity, and the ability to run the offense. He reads defenses, creates for teammates, and scores with confidence from deep or at the rim, and that is what separates him. With his ability to control tempo and open the floor, this is exactly why we want him at the showcase to display his skills against top competition, but also add a guard willing to get others in the mix. This is an opportunity to rise a bit more with a solid showing.

Nesbitt’s comfort handling the ball has always been valuable with Rocky Mountain, whether facilitating fast breaks or initiating timely entry passes. Energizing this group off the bench, he provides a fast pace of play to provide steady decisionmaking in the open floor. His continued success as a shooter behind the arc will be essential towards this group’s offensive upside. 

Nesbitt has been dependable setting up teammates in the open floor, quickly pushing the pace when available. Posting 5.4 points and 2.4 assists for Rocky Mountain, he will be incremental in setting up their array of post scoring options. He is a threat to heat up from distance, capable from the wings and corners when given space. 

Nesbitt looked to push the pace in transition, eager to get the ball up the floor to set up shotmakers from outlet passes. Keeping his head up to survey the floor at all times, he is a comfortable ball handler who will maximize Rocky Mountain’s wealth of offensive weapons between backcourt and frontcourt options. Effective picking apart the half court defense, Nesbitt finds himself deep in the paint fairly often, comfortable converting floaters if necessary.
