Tambedou is a fascinating archetype of a player. He doesn’t have too many offensive skills, but he still makes a massive difference on the floor because of what he DOES bring. For a guy his size (6-foot-7), he’s as strong and well-conditioned as they come; he’s the first guy back on defense but is also a ferocious rim-runner, so you better come to play if you’re facing him on the front line. He’s a lob threat offensively, he’s a rim deterrent defensively, and he has one of the better motors I’ve seen in high school hoops. Tambedou needs to gain some more offensive skills, but he’s physically ready to play at Maryland right now and is a special rebounder and defensive player.

Tambedou is relatively raw offensively—there’s no way around it. But the 6-foot-7 forward is ridiculously athletic, physical, and hardworking, which makes up for his offensive limitations. Putnam’s incredible defensive pressure and switching mentality is only possible with bigs like him who are able to slide their feet with guards on the perimeter but are also more than strong enough to compete with bigs in the paint—he guarded both

on the perimeter this weekend, and he didn’t look out of place. He’s unbelievably strong and gifted physically, and he has a very special motor for his size and length. Tambedou is going to be a really interesting piece for Maryland next season, and if he’s able to get more comfortable offensively (which he shows flashes of),

Adama recorded a 14 point, 10 rebound double‑double in the win, adding 2 assists and 3 steals. He was active all over the court, starting with his pressing defense that led to a steal and a dunk. He also took a charge, setting the tone for his team. In transition, he finished a dunk over a defender by catching a contested lob, showcasing his athleticism and ability to play above the rim.

Tambedou continued to show why he’s considered to be one of the top frontcourt athletes in the country, all summer long. The Putnam Science Academy forward was one of the top performers on the PUMA Pro16 League, averaging double digit rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game. He’s an elite athlete that always has his motor running at 100% and has the ability to change games with his presence around the rim. At 6’8″, he’s not a true big man, but his versatility, physicality, and power allow him to play up a position and present mismatch problems on the offensive end of the floor. The Top 150 prospect is a high major recruit with offers from Iowa State, Maryland, and Oklahoma State.

-Tambedou always seems to impress me as a whirling dervish of physical activity at both ends of the floor. The motor runs extremely hot at both ends of the floor on the glass, he works hard to blow up ball screens in the half court, and he’s an effective defensive post presence that takes pride in protecting the rim for his team. Love the way that he runs the floor hard to serve as a lob target in transition, to set secondary break screens to free up teammates, and to race back in transition to protect the paint. Want to see if he has a soft touch around the rim and as a C+S midrange guy, but the form looked good on FT attempts throughout the two games I saw.

Tambedou is a hard-playing freak of an athlete who is bound to make a highlight play in a blink of an eye on either end of the court. He is a sneaky good passer and can get the ball through tight holes in the defense. He has great touch around the rim and thrives from the dunker spots. He is interchangeable defensively and can guard all five spots. Tambedou should be a priority for high major programs in need of a forward with positional versatility. High major programs should be monitoring Tambedou.

Tambedou came on late as an impact player for PSA last season, but he’ll be in a far larger role with the team this coming year. The 6-foot-7 forward is an unbelievably explosive athlete who runs the floor like a deer and gets above the rim with utter ease. He still needs to slow down at times once he gets into the paint, but with PSA’s guard play and the pace at which they play, he should get so many easy buckets for them. He’s also a surprisingly effective short roll passer who can find his teammates for threes pretty easily. Big future ahead, especially if he pairs the physical tools with the IQ.

A 6’7″ hybrid forward for Putnam Science Academy, Tambedou is a physical speciment with elite athleticism. When his motor’s turned up, he’s one of the best forwards in the country, using his physical gifts to fly around the court, dominate on the glass, and finish with authority in transition. Defensively, he can defend in the post and on the perimeter, tracks the ball well off the glass, and is capable of protecting the rim coming from the weak side. On the other end, he gets out and runs in transition, makes instinctive cuts to the rim off the ball, and has the ability to finish plays as an isolation scorer in the mid-range. On top of that, he was one of the top offensive rebounders at the event. He’s a Top 150 prospect nationally and a future high major talent.

Tambedou, a member of the Pro16 League 17U squad, is an powerful wing out of Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut. Coming off of a standout performance at the Pangos All-American Camp, he’s an elite athlete that makes explosive plays on both ends of the floor. A hybrid forward, he has the ability to guard up and down a lineup while making plays in passing lanes and protecting the rim. He gets up and down the floor quickly, is a terrific offensive rebounder, and has the ability to take over games as a downhill driver. He recently picked up an offer from Oklahoma State, which could be just the tip of the iceberg in his recruitment this summer.

is the type of power forward that can get out in transition and throw down massive dunks. He is incredibly athletic and his jumping mechanics are essentially perfect. I also was a fan of the way he was always hustling and how he battled for boards. His top notch play was noticed by other scouts in the building as well and he was selected to play in the Top 60 game.
