in Putnam’s front court, but I was extremely impressed with what he did offensively last week. The 6-foot-9 forward showcased some excellent footwork in the post and looked significantly more comfortable and balanced than I’ve seen him in the past. He doesn’t consistently score from the post offensively, but a handful of the flashes he showed against Newman and other top teams should be enough for some mid-major D1 to give him a hard look. Egbuna is really interesting and I wonder what he would look like if given more offensive responsibility. Perhaps we’ll find out at the next level.

Egbuna, a forward out of Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #47. Egbuna is another newcomer for Putnam this season and in just a few shorts month, has asserted himself as one of the region’s most dominant rebounders. The 6’9″ big man is as high-motor of a prospect as there is, making his presence felt around the rim as a finisher and rebounder, while also showing the ability to run the floor in transition. He’s a threat to go for a double-double any time he takes the floor and should only continue to improve as he expands his offensive skillset.

Egbuna was ridiculously dominant all weekend for Putnam Science. The 6-foot-9 forward is built like an ox and has super long arms, so he’s in the mix for every single rebound on both ends and is quite difficult to keep out of the paint with a box out. Though he’s raw in the post, the senior showed some potential with a couple nice drop step moves, and he should look to continue developing his offensive feel. Defensively, Egbuna slides his feet ridiculously well for his size and can also defend bigs because of his strength and size, making him a phenomenal defensive piece. He has big time potential and should be getting high major looks.

Dude is a monster at 6’9” 240 of pure muscle bullying people on either end of the floor. Hard working with high energy who can run with anyone. He will get D1 offers for sure. He can make an impact for Southland, Southern leagues now or keep improving and be an impact player in leagues such as A10, Mountain West, West Coast Conference. His footwork around the rim is good but will only get more effective. He shoots for average but I can foresee him being above average in high percentage shooting category. He can jump over players as well creating extra possessions.
