after a pair of huge showings against Peach State foes. The first one was a 17-point, 4-block, and 2-steal game against Tri-Cities (GA), before later putting up 21 points on 5 3PM against Cross Creek (GA). The perimeter shooting has been streaky for Aaden this month, but his length and athleticism are on display defensively every time you watch him. Whether it’s contesting jumpers, protecting the rim, or forcing turnovers, Bruton-Smith is never a guy who disappears on the defensive end. He picked up offers from Grambling State, Coastal Carolina, and UNC Asheville this weekend.

. Aaden received his second D1 offer from Appalachian State this week, joining Charleston Southern in the hunt for this gifted 2027 wing. Bruton-Smith had nine made threes in four games in the first 3SSB event of the season, with his best game being a 14-point outing on 4-7 3FG in a loss to Indiana Elite. When it comes to shooting, there aren’t many better in the state than Aaden, so look for that offer list to continue to climb with live periods on the horizon.
Bruton-Smith had a monster Spring and continued it with a big first pair of games in June. He has developed into one of the state’s premier shooters and is particularly efficient on the left side of the floor. However, Aaden can also make plays that few can on the defensive end of the floor. His long arms allow him to contest jump shots and block layups. One sequence that stood out above the others was a high-flying transition dunk on one end, immediately followed up by an athletic, track-down block on the other. Bruton-Smith should be a name College Coaches circle heading into the SCBCA Live Camp in North Augusta later this month.

over the last 6 months has been special, and based on his performances in Spartanburg, it is not done yet. Aaden has developed into a can’t-leave shooter and had two threes in the game, but he also showcased a tight handle on Saturday. One of his two threes was a nice pull-up after a hesitation move, and it later opened up space for him to drive the ball. Bruton-Smith also had a few nice moves to get past defenders in transition, where the open court allowed him to see his options better. He went for 8 points and 2 blocks in the win over ACE SD.
Aaden really had a coming out party this season for the Cavaliers. He made the move last summer over from Greenville HS to Dorman HS.
Aaden had several games this season of 8 three-pointers made in a game. He finished the season at 42.4% from three-point range while scoring 10.2 ppg. Aaden would grab 5.4 rebounds a night. He made 76 three-pointers this past season.
Aaden has a quick trigger and nice-looking shot release. He recorded 8 three pointers in games vs Norcross HS (GA) and Chapin HS this past season.
Aaden a virtual unknown a year ago to the starting lineup for the Class 5A Cavaliers. He makes the move from #60 to #19 in this update of Stock-Risers.
