Speaking of an energy and presence, Brishawn continues to bring that for this Dorman group. They lost two key frontcourt pieces after each of the last two seasons, so the addition of Young was much-needed and has fit in extremely well so far. All 9 of his points came from offensive rebounds because he simply outworked his matchup, despite not having a size or athleticism advantage. Brishawn also brings a little bit of a rim protection edge with his timing and mobility. With all the talent in the backcourt and on the wings for the Cavaliers this season, expect a guy like Young to swing big games late in the season with his elite motor.

Checking in at #100 to round out the first list of new additions is Brishawn Young Brishawn Young 6'5" | PF/C Dorman | 2027 State SC . Young was impressive in his first month with Dorman after transferring from Spartanburg, and he looks primed to step into a starting role for the Cavaliers. Brishawn brings a high motor whenever he’s on the floor, which translates to rebounding, rim running, and transition activity that fits in great next to elite guards.

Brishawn made the cross-city move from Spartanburg (SC) to Dorman (SC) this month. He was a key player for the Vikings a season ago and has already made his impact felt with the Cavaliers in June. Young was impactful in the two games I watched this weekend, putting up 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 block against Tri-Cities (GA) and 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 steal against Mooresville (NC). Brishawn doesn’t have a super strong frame, but he outworks a lot of players bigger than him. He is excellent in transition, moves well along the baseline, and has a knack for finding important rebounds late in the game.
