Eric Wallace | Prep Hoops Scout
Franklin has announced a move to Potomac School along with a reclassification to the 2028 class, adding even more intrigue to an already impressive trajectory. The wing with good size enjoyed a breakout spring with Team Breakdown, consistently producing against quality competition and showcasing a polished offensive skill set. Franklin is an efficient shot maker who scores within the flow of the offense while also possessing the ability to create his own shot off the dribble. He combines good strength with above average athleticism, allowing him to finish through contact, attack closeouts, and impact the game in multiple ways. His feel for the game stands out, as he consistently makes smart decisions and plays with poise beyond his years. W

There’s a real argument that no prospect left a bigger impression on me this weekend than Franklin. With his size around 6-foot-5, you could slide him between the two or the three, but in healthy spurts this weekend he was able to show his grab-and-go ability to lead the break and make plays. Franklin was outstanding from an efficiency perspective as he helped Team Breakdown DMV P32 to the championship game where they would come up short against Team Breakdown FL P32. In the chaotic pace or environment that grassroots ball can bring, Franklin’s ability to play at his own pace, bury shots from deep or process reads off the bounce with such precision were all aspects to his game that I only saw in spurts as a sophomore at O’Connell. This could be the beginning of a huge summer ahead for Franklin, who averaged 17.3 points per game for the weekend headlined by an opening 28-point outing on Saturday.

Franklin was outstanding on Saturday, pouring in 28 points in a win for Team Breakdown. The junior brings good size, a high basketball IQ, and a continually improving offensive skill set, highlighted by his ability to consistently knock down shots from beyond the arc. An All-WCAC performer at Bishop O’Connell this season, he looks poised for a strong spring and summer as he continues to elevate his play in front of college coaches.

The junior earned All-WCAC honors after averaging over 6 points and 5 rebounds per game for the Knights. Franklin brings good positional size and length, along with a strong feel for the game. He is a capable open shot maker who plays within the flow of the offense, rebounds his position, and consistently competes on the defensive end. His combination of size, instincts, and effort makes him a reliable two-way contributor.

Really liked the energy Franklin brought to the game. He was a threat to score from behind the arc and connected on 3 three pointers and is someone who needs to be respected out there if he is left alone. He finished with 11 points. Franklin used his length to rebound and collect steals. He is a prospect who should be on the radar of low and mid-major coaches. His best basketball is ahead of him.

-Franklin has really performed well in a role that he’s carved out for himself as a utility wing–especially in this one. Franklin plays great on-ball and help defense, knocks down open shots, and was active on the defensive glass to close out possessions for OC. His stretch in the 4Q with three straight triples off the catch gave the Knights the lead for good. Love his unselfish approach to the game at both ends of the floor as a low maintenance wing prospect.
