-The skill progression is coming along nicely for Bryant as he steps into a big role for Team Breakdown this AAU season. He started things off with a pull-up 3 off the dribble, executed a double crossover pocket pass with the right hand to the roller a few possessions later, drove the baseline and threw a one-handed dart to a shooter on the opposite wing, knocked down a wing 3 off the catch, and scored off of several runouts in transition to build the TBD lead. Bryant read double teams before they came to throw the pass over the top to his roller or to skip it to a shooter on the opposite side of the floor, limiting turnovers while allowing his teammates to slip to open spaces before letting it go. Love the pace that he is playing with in transition as also effectively froze his matchup with hesitation dribbles or euro steps to create the best possible look for his team.

had a great game for PVI in their win over Father Judge. Aaron is a great shooter and plays with a high level of maturity. Aaron hit a lot of timely shots for PVI, and he finished with 19 points. Aaron should have a much bigger role this season for PVI, and I’m excited to see what he does in his sophomore season.

The youngest member of a talent-laden PVI rotation, Bryant plays with a steely confidence that belies his age. Given the level of players around him, the youngster is used mostly right now for his floor-spacing ability, showing an ability to change games with his reliable quick trigger from beyond the arc. Not just a shooter, there’s a clear level of feel and skill that we’ll look to see more of when we evaluate Bryant on the AAU circuit. He’s announced himself for now as one of the top freshman contributors in the DMV.

Despite some ups and downs as a team, Aaron continues to show what ultimately makes him an x-factor for this team. His poise and pace stood out in the Mt. Carmel scrimmage. He’s still developing as a point guard but displayed solid balance between scoring and playmaking in this contest. Aaron is a smooth creator who looks to make the right play with the ball in his hands. He understands how to break down defenses and pick his spots or set up others. Aaron possesses a crafty handle and scoring arsenal. Expect his stock to grow as the season continues. Potential Top Freshman PG on a national level.
