Mikhelson has improved steadily since making the move over to the U.S. as he’s adjusted to difference the style, pace and physicality in comparison to his native country of Ukraine. He brings a strong, foundational IQ to go with a frame that has put on muscle and strength nicely over the past year. His fluid shooting mechanics were on display on Sunday as Mikhelson does a nice job with footwork leading up to the catch so he’s square and ready to let it fly. He attacks well in straight lines, can locate open teammates on paint touches and did a nice job of keeping the ball in front of him defensively without fouling. Expect an uptick in Mikhelson’s role for a very intriguing and talented Potomac group this season.

Maksym was one of the hardest working players at the Expo last Sunday. He came into each game hustling for rebounds and taking on tough defensive tasks. Thought he did a pretty good job at both stopping and staying in front of the ball in transition and the halfcourt. Pretty good shooter with space and has a quick trigger. Potential to fill oput his game and be a 3&D staple for Potomac.
