With the summer coming to an end, we decided to take a look at some of the top underrated players that college coaches should be watching for heading into the season. Here's a look at six junior wings in the NOVA area that are ready for a breakout season.

[player_tooltip player_id='3554531' first='Finn' last='Gardner'] | 6'4” SF | Briar Woods

Gardner is coming off a good sophomore season, but this year he's ready to take that next jump and become one of the top players in Loudoun County this year. The 6'4” wing is a two way impact player who can guard the other team's best player, he is a knock down shooter from deep with good range, he can get downhill and is an athletic finisher, and he has a great IQ and instincts on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='3554575' first='Nahome' last='Kidane'] | 6'3” SF | McLean

Kidane is a player who has shown a lot of improvement over the past couple of years, and he will be a guy to keep an eye on this season as one of the go-to players for McLean. The 6'3” wing plays with a fantastic motor and is willing to do all the little things to help his team, he can score it from multiple levels whether he's working on or off the ball, and he uses his size and strength to rebound well for his position too.

[player_tooltip player_id='3336930' first='Jordan' last='Smith'] | 6'1” SG | Robinson

Smith had some great moments for Robinson last season including a 43 point game early in the season, and that kind of scoring isn't something that just anyone can do. He's an elite shooter who has in the gym range and a quick release, he does a great job relocating off the ball and using fakes and relocating on closeouts, and he is a crafty finisher who is very good at drawing contact and getting to the line as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2548307' first='Logan' last='Brooks'] | 6'3” SF | Evergreen Christian

Brooks is set up to have a monster year at Evergreen after their top players left from last year's state championship team, and coming off a good summer he looks prepared to do just that. The lengthy 6'3” wing is an aggressive slasher who finishes very well around the rim and through contact, he can knock down open shots from the perimeter, he is a good rebounder for his position, and he uses his athleticism well on the defensive end too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2957395' first='Yamanuel' last='Agonafir'] | 6'5” SF | Justice

Agonafir showed a lot of promise last year for Justice when he was thrust into the thick of things, and with another year of development and more confidence he could be the guy for them moving forward. He is a big wing who gets downhill and is physical when he gets in the paint, he can stretch the defense with touch from deep, he can guard and play multiple positions for them, and he he is a very good rebounder as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2969121' first='Maksym' last='Mikhelson'] | 6'3” SG | Potomac School

Mikhelson may not put up the biggest numbers on a stacked Potomac team with a lot of scoring threats, but he's in a great position to be a very integral part of the team with his ability to shoot the ball. They have a ton of guards who can make plays and Mikehelson does a good job moving off the ball when his teammates hit the paint, he can drill it from deep with a quick release and good range, and he brings great instincts on both ends of the floor too.
