After a quiet first half, Payne flashed the athletic traits and skillset that give him a high upside. He's nimble and explosive for his 6 foot 6 frame. Pushing it in transition, and making it look easy when navigating through defenders. As he has good "wiggle" and "quick twitch" moves that make him standout as an offensive threat. He had a coast to coast take, that included great touch "giant killer" type finish that often is more associated with smaller guards. Payne has a lot of aspects to his game that can't be taught, and is continuing to add more skill.

The bouncy big man set the tone early and dominated the first half for the visiting Cougars. Quick off the floor for blocks and rebounds. Great touch around the rim from 8 feet and in, solid footwork on back to the basket moves. Even stepped out and drained a three during his big first half. Was a complete game changer on both ends of the floor. Plays to size and knows who he is.

Douglas plays with great vision and processing for his age. Was the best for GRIND at getting downhill, and kicking out to shooters. Knows how to misdirect with his eyes and fire off quick touch passes. It was good to see him to still find ways to impact the game, as his usually efficient scorer was off on the night. Still earned some trips to the line and had a big time contested finish late. One of Oklahoma's brightest young talents.

Lawal is a physical guard, who even with his three point shot off, still controlled the game. Never seemed bother by ball pressure, had a great feel for when to be strong and methodical. And then when to explode by defenders with a good first step. Good decision maker in ball screens and generally reading the floor as a passer. Scored very well from 15 feet and in. Even crashed glass effecitvely. Knows how to play fast, while not being out of control.

Constant remains a big time threat from deep. Especially with a flurry of threes he hit in the second half. Where his game is growing, he spent more time on the ball. Looks stronger and more confident with the ball. The next step will be a better understanding on driving to create as much as to score. Took some tough looks in the mid-range, that possibly could've been better served by moving the ball. Playing with a shot clock might've been a factor in some of those looks, so it was still good learning reps for the next level.

Townsend has the build and movement of a lanky shooter. Jumper wasn't fully locked in on Tuesday night, but still hit some. What impressed was the way he got up and guarded. Good lateral movement and using his height plus wingspan advantage to make life tough for opposing guards. Seems to have the "3 and D" DNA that college coaches covet.
