Oklahoma's summer basketball season delivered standout performances across multiple circuits, giving a glimpse of who could make major impacts this winter. With the release of the latest OSSAA reclassifications and current transfer information in mind, here are a few Class BI and BII players who caught my attention this summer.

Standing at 6'5, [player_tooltip player_id='3587059' first='Greyson' last='Wood'] is a forward who has a great feel for controlling the paint. He led the post role for his Team Oklahoma squad this summer and consistently made his presence felt around the basket. Wood has a soft touch inside, does a great job boxing out, and knows how to attack the glass for loose rebounds.

He's also capable of stepping outside the paint and knocking down the mid-range jumper, using his size to shoot over smaller defenders. His hustle stands out on both ends of the floor, and he brings a physical presence defensively that can make things difficult for opposing forwards. After putting together several double-digit scoring performances last season, expect Wood to continue producing at a high level during his senior season at Asher.

One of the most elite scorers in the state, [player_tooltip player_id='2801127' first='Jaren' last='Weedn'] is coming off an incredible sophomore season at Stuart where he averaged nearly 26 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals per game. He's a true floor general with a keen eye for the game and the ability to produce whenever his team needs him. Weedn is a quick guard with a deep bag of tough moves that allow him to create separation and get downhill. He also shoots the ball extremely well from distance, making him a threat the moment he crosses half court. Don't let his quickness fool you either, as Weedn has some sneaky bounce that allows him to throw down powerful dunks at the rim.

His production has remained consistent across multiple events this summer, averaging 20 or more points a game at 7 different events. The numbers and live results speak for themselves. [player_tooltip player_id='2801127' first='Jaren' last='Weedn'] is the real deal and has established himself as one of the state's most dangerous scoring guards.

[player_tooltip player_id='2830518' first='Daniel' last='Harris'] ended the summer averaging 14 points and 7 rebounds per game across his final two events on the NXTPRO circuit. Standing at 6'3, Harris is a guard with a strong frame that allows him to overpower other guards and even smaller forwards in the paint. Despite his physical build, he still brings plenty of agility and speed to get past defenders on the perimeter and attack the basket. Harris isn't afraid to take the contested jumper or pull from deep, and he consistently connects from range thanks to his fundamental shooting form.

Defensively, he uses his size and instincts to disrupt passing lanes and make life difficult for opposing ball handlers. He's also not afraid to challenge shots around him and can use his strength to make an impact on the glass. Harris brings a physical style of play on both ends of the floor that should make him a tough matchup heading into the winter.

Coming off a breakout junior campaign at Leedey, [player_tooltip player_id='2364391' first='Aaron' last='Hill'] reached the 1,000 career point milestone and continued to build momentum heading into his senior season. Hill faced some tough competition this summer with Team Oklahoma, giving him an opportunity to grow into his role and compete against some of the state's best. That experience helped him develop an even stronger competitive edge as he learned to work harder and faster every possession.

Hill does a great job of controlling the paint on both ends of the floor. He locks down defensively, sets hard screens, spaces the floor, keeps the rock high, finishes strong around the basket, grabs boards, and can even swat shots at the rim. His ability to do the little things while still impacting the game offensively makes him a valuable piece for Leedey. After picking up his first collegiate offer last month, Hill is officially on the radar and should have plenty more opportunities to come his way during his senior campaign.

Standing at 6'7, [player_tooltip player_id='2439780' first='Nicolas' last='Sant'Anna'] is a lengthy wing who played some great basketball throughout the summer. One of his best performances came against a stacked Southern Assault Texoma team, where he finished with 18 points and 7 rebounds. His length gives him plenty of ways to score, whether it's stepping outside the perimeter and knocking down high-arc 3-pointers or going to work in the paint and using his wingspan to get the rock up off the glass.

His size-ups are impressive for a player his size, allowing him to create space and get into his offensive game. He also has a smooth fadeaway from the mid-range that makes him tough to contest when he gets into his rhythm. His length and athleticism show up around the rim as well, where he's capable of throwing down some tough jams. With his ability to score at multiple levels and use his size to create advantages, Sant'Anna should be in line for a great senior season at Arnett.

[player_tooltip player_id='2823636' first='Daxx' last='Compton'] entered the summer fresh off winning the BII state championship, where he also took home MVP honors. He's a highly skilled guard with endless downhill speed, energy, and hustle. Compton always looks comfortable and in control with the rock in his hands, even when defenders are applying pressure. He shows off some crazy moves when he gets downhill, using his quickness and ability to change direction to create advantages. He rips through, keeps his head down, and goes to work. His drives are electric, and he won't hesitate to attack anyone standing in his way.

On the defensive end, Compton is just as impactful. He's a great defender who can force turnovers and immediately turn them into highlight plays, including a 2-hand jam that you won't see coming. Coming off a championship season, Compton looks ready to bring that same winning mentality into another big year.

Oklahoma's summer basketball season delivered standout performances across multiple circuits, giving a glimpse of who could make major impacts this winter.
