Dover looks good and the future is even brighter with Compton at the helm. He was a key part of their 17-2 run to start the game. Opened with a pull up jumper and then had moments of flair throughout the contest. Including a transition push that saw him dribble through the defense and make his way to the rim. Playing for a coach like Jared Reese gives Compton a great foundation as a traditional floor general., and it’s fun to see him have some extra flair and skill when the occasion calls for it.

A sophomore for the Dover Longhorns who is already putting up big numbers. Including a 23 points and 4 steal performance in a tournament title game against Drummond this past Saturday. Last season, Dover made the State Tournament for the first time since 1993. They’re now 9-0, ranked 1st in their class and with productive youngster like Compton, there’s a strong possibility that this could be the start of a long streak of State Tournament appearances.
